I ordered the Fried Shrimp PoBoy, fries and a drink. It comes assembled in a French baguette, fried shrimp, sliced tomatoes and shredded iceberg lettuce and their tasty tartar sauce. I chose French fries as my side, but there several other sides you can choose from such as coleslaw and fried okra, ect. The Fried Shrimp PoBoy was delicious. The shrimp was crunchy and seasoned well. Their tartar sauce is amazing! And the fries are so crispy and good! I recommend this place! There is a wait, but it is worth it!
This place is a must for my family when they visit me from up north. I am not a hushpuppy person, but they made me fall in love with the lightly crispy outside and moist, sweet inside. The corn is a perfect touch.
Now, don't get me started on the fish. I have NEVER tasted such good fish. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It is a perfect sample of southern food! I can't wait for my next visit!
Had the SMALL catfish basket (3 fillets). Thank God I didn't go for the 5 fillets. I was stuffed. The manager gave me a couple of fried shrimp as a sample. Awesome food all the way around. You might also try the spicy tartar sauce. Pretty good stuff.
This place food is always fresh and hot when I get my food. The staff is nice. Everything I've had here was good. Never been disappointed since I been going. If you haven't tried catfish staion you don't know what you're missing. If you don't have time to wait call your in and they'll still make it happen. Catfish staion makes their tartar sauce and it's delicious
For the location I was surprised to find a quality fry and fish was easily accessible from the freeway. The fish is hot an always has quality seasoning and yet they don't just serve your standard sides the red beans n rice is exceptional. While your wait maybe 8min or more the quality of food is well worth it.
The problem these guys are having is with quality. If the owners aren't at the restaurant, the service and food quality is crap.
When this place first opened, the owners were here all the time. I would get a good story about Mississippi and chatted about the articles. Then they slacked, hired people without supervision and the quality took a nosedive. I'm assuming sales were falling because the owner started coming around more. So I gave them another try after 8 months and they have improved.
They're slow but it's well worth it. And the owner has to be there for good service.
And the young lady DOES NOT know how to enter numbers in the CC machine. Watch your money! If i wasn't honest, I would've paid $1 for almost $20 of food. My signature is for whatever I AGREE is on the receipt. I had to tell her she entered the wrong numbers. When she tried to subtract what she ran from the total, to figure out what I owed, she still got it wrong soI just gave up. I wonder if she can count cash.
The best fast food cajun spot!
Fantastic food with excellent service. The catfish is lightly fried and very crispy. The shrimp are very nicely fried and a good size. The gumbo is an excellent mixture of light spice and seafood flavor. Overall the Catfish Station is a fantastic break from the norm and an excellent value. Don't pass this little jewel up if you are in NW Houston!
I love the fish, shrimp, fries and hush puppies here. I've tried the gumbo a jambalaya but I'm from New Orleans and it's not same taste to me. But the place is great! The best thing about it now is they have an actual restaurant instead of the just the drive up location.
Catfish Station has never let me down! Their food is consistently wonderful. It doesn't seem to matter what I choose.
My grandchildren beg to eat there, too!
They are pleasant to order from & I can't wait until I have a chance to visit one of their sitdown restaurants.
