We finally got to try La Lucha a couple of weeks ago and it was a very pleasant surprise! The service was top notch, my gluten free allergy was accommodated with issues and the food was beyond amazing! The family style set up is nice and it encourages conversation amongst your party. We tried the shishito peppers, fries (fried in beef tallow) with oyster Mayo, oysters on the half shell and fried chicken. Everything was made fresh upon ordering and the flavors were excellent. We'll definitely be back soon!

Great playlist, service, and food! We a started with the oysters - ocean explosion. Second, ordered some fresh shrimp - clean taste! Third, fried chicken and shrimp - definitely a must try. Their biscuits were the first biscuits that I’ve tried that are NOT DRY AT ALL. HIGHLIGHTS - the oysters, spicy honey, and biscuits. Some like it hot drink - mild spice, was definitely expecting more since the Serrano was advertised on the descriptions. The octopus was perfectly cooked, tasted like it was brined in the ocean!

Finally leaving a review after dining at La Lucha at least once a month. Had a group of 8 and service was great. Everything was delicious as usual except for my kids’ food. Husband got his must have chicken & waffles. Half a bird and plenty to take home for leftovers. I had oysters, fries w/oyster dip, and shrimp tacos. Tacos aren’t anything fancy. In fact, they’re similar to Jack in the Box tacos, but way better and with shrimp. Greasy, spicy, and satisfying. My youngest two children aren’t picky with flavors, but found the chicken tenders to be too lemony and peppery. I, however, thought they tasted great. Finally tried the soft serve and it was SO GOOD. Will definitely come back for my monthly fix. Won’t bring the kids back again unless the tenders can be seasoned with less lemon and pepper.

Very impressed with the food and service. The place is bigger than I thought. Unless you like looking for public street parking you’ll have to valet. Our waiter Chris C. Was on point. I was very happy with his service. I look forward to coming back.

Oysters 🦪 & Fried Chicken 🍗 First time ever visiting this restaurant. Visited today on a Saturday. I’m not sure if all of their parking is valet everyday or not but I parked elsewhere. The atmosphere is nice and sophisticated but also laid back. Very nice decor. They do offer outdoor or indoor seating. I started my meal with the Wood Roasted Gulf Oysters in Parmesan Garlic. They were really good and fresh. Did not taste muddy or sandy. For the main course I had the Palla Especial Fried Chicken. The chicken was really good. It was tasty, it was moist, and it was crispy. The biscuits that came with it were fresh and buttery. The sauces that came with the chicken were delicious. I think my favorite was the mayo one. All in all I would highly recommend this place. The food was delicious, the food was made fresh, and the staff was attentive. My one and only dislike/ recommendation to management would be to adjust the price for the roasted oysters. $21 for 6 oysters is outrageous considering they were small in size. I’ve had a dozen for $25 elsewhere and they were massive. Everything else keep up the good work.

First time and came for happy hour for oysters. I enjoy there are different types of oysters you can order, most places in Houston do not have that option, try different types and see what you like! The only drink option was a beer, it was good, and got some fries which were great! Service was exceptional and thankful for some hot water to warm up a baby bottle. Ready to visit again.

The oysters were really good. And the dumplings!! It was spicy and flavorful! The fish was great too. The shrimp could’ve used a bit more seasoning, but it was cooked well. The Margarita w/ tajin was really good and had a smoky flavor. Will be back to try the fried chicken. It looked amazing!!

Overall great place with good food. I felt the steak was overcooked on outside but nice on the inside. Enjoyed hanging out at the bar!
