My husband and I discovered this place a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. They have excellent customer service and the food is delicious. Now a days it’s rare to have someone be so welcoming and warming but Peter showed great hospitality and care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and service. The walnut Baklava is to die for!
Zabak's is to Mediterranean food what what Niko Niko's is to Greek food in Houston, except that Zabak's has only one location and is cheaper! But more seriously Zabak's serves great freshly prepared food and the staff is always welcoming and the service great. It's basically Mediterranean casual counter order dining. Definitely recommended for a pit stop if you are in the neighborhood.
Stopped for lunch and what a lovely find! Great food-by far the best middle eastern cuisine we have had since moving to TX 2 yrs ago! Just wish they were closer to us! Fast super friendly service and great food and prices. Everything was delish and so fresh. Y'all need to visit. We will return soon for sure!
Sandra is awesome! She definitely helped me (a first timer) pick out what to get from the menu. The falafel sandwich was to die for! The vibe was super cute. A lot of regulars definitely come by here, everyone seemed to know one another! Very welcoming atmosphere, flavorful food, will definitely come back here again!
Zabak's is our favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Houston. The owners are super sweet and have mastered the art of customer service. Their recipes have been passed down in their family for generations, and you can definitely tell they put a lot of love in this family tradition.
Everything I've had here is delicious. Don't forget to try the pistachio baklava, it's my favorite!
I've eaten at Zabak's a few times over the years. The food is always consistent and the service excellent. I especially love their falafel. I've never had none like it in Houston.
A coworker and I happen to find this place and we're so glad we did. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They gave a lot of suggestions. The food was amazing and the portions were great especially with the price. It was super filling. Looking forward to going again.
I ordered the falfel plate, and it did not disappoint. The food was well made and delicious. It is also a great price for the quantity of food you get. I highly recommend eating here. I also want to point out that this was the cleanest restaurant I have ever been to. Nothing gross on the floors or counters, no sticky tables, zero trash, and I could probably lick the bathroom floor with no health consequences. All around, I am very impressed!
The lady at the counter is the very definition on perfect customer service. Always greets you when you come in, remembers my order asks how it was when we leave. Does EVERYTHING and anything to make it a memorable experiance. O yea and the food it GREAT and good servings sizes.
Went there a little before noon right before it got busy. Theres only one person at the register so it'll take a while for you to order if you're there during the rush. Its located in a plaza so there should be ample parking for all (dont take my word for it).

I ordered the falafel sandwich since I was told the falafel at zabaks was pretty good. I also got the spinach pie and zaatar pie just cause I can.
Sandwich was amazingly refreshing and I enjoyed every bit of it, it was as good as they recommended. Zaatar pie was pretty new to me, it was topped with herbs and spices rich with flavors. Spinach pie didn't really fit my taste, just too sour for me(maybe vinegar? Can't tell won't guess).
Anyhow, I enjoyed the food and the price was reasonable. Would go again if i was nearby.
Its easy to tell when the person that owns the place cares about their clientele and take pride in what they serve. Amazing food, kind folks and accommodated our request to pickup the food 15 mins after their closing hours.
This place has the best chcicken schwarma I've ever had. They put the tahini sauce but I prefer it that way. It's also covered with sumac and it's delicious. They have some to die for baklava and the place is family owned and operated. Catch them for lunch when you're shopping in the galleria and save some money and catch an authentic and robust lunch - then go to minuti coffee afterwords!!
