Came here for an event. Didn't get any food, but on other people's plate it looked delicious. (Thursdays is Steak Night BTW) The bartender Rex is awesome and funny. Very nice personality and can make a helluva drink!! The atmosphere is very welcoming. It is homely and it kinda reminds me of a set on a sitcom. The upstairs is "The Riot" where they do stand-up comedy shows. I liked the fire that burns in the pit on the patio. Downfall is the parking, but that's the norm for the area. Next time, I will play darts and whatever else they have available there.
Great atmosphere, but no table service. You order at the bar. It was bar food, maybe a little above par. One order at our table included an incorrect item. The person did not approach staff about the issue.
Garlic knots, fish and chips, and a mixed appetizer plate were on our order. All were pretty good.
Only off putting thing was someone I assumed was a customer walking around with their dog inside. Dog was approaching customers and going under tables for crumbs. I like dogs, but not where my food is served. Don't know if this is okay in Houston, but our locality doesn't allow any non-service animals where food is served. Looked like a neighborhood bar and this customer was familiar to staff.
A great Montrose location with fantastic stand up comedians! Fun and quirky decor. The parking situation is not great, so taking an Uber is a good alternative. I haven't tried the food but it looks good! Prices are fair.
It's hard to have a bad time here: there's something for everybody. The comedy shows upstairs have some pretty great guests and draws a really good crowd. The bartenders are friendly, and the clientelle pretty eclectic and diverse. Reasonable drinks! Food could a tad better than the usual greasy pub dishes, but I've yet to try the steak.
The atmosphere is a little congested when you first walk in but the staff is all great, the food is HOT and yummy and they give you a ton of it!! We'll definitely be back to experience some more comidic relief! Sat in VIP which was almost physically touching the stage, so that was cool.
I got the loaded frito pie and my husband ordered a patty melt and onion rings....they did those onion rings PERFECTLY!! I cohld only eat about 30% of my pie because they give you insane portion of it lol. Oh and GET THE MANGO MARGARITAAAAA 🥭 😜
We really enjoyed ourselves 🤪
I visited on July 4th right at opening at 11 a.m. Came in with my daughter that frequents this establishment. We shared the pepperoni pizza and Ceasars salad, and it was delicious.
Darts on darts on darts! Four dart boards and a shuffleboard to give yourself something to do other than drink and eat.
The food has grown into something better than it should be and the beer selection is on point. They have a full bar too.
Didn't eat
But bar service was great! Wish there had been a wait person on the floor.
If you are looking for a night out, this is a great choice. We came for a comedy show. This was our first time here and the staff was very helpful. If you are going upstairs for the show, don't leave an open tab at the bar. You will have a hard time closing out your tab at the end of the night with the crowd. When you get upstairs you will have a QR code at your table. You can scan the code and order anything you want from there. At the end of the night you close your tab on your phone. It is very easy.
Went to see a comedy show with my husband, and it was fantastic. Comics were hilarious 😂 and the service was awesome.
