Cali Sandwich - Houston - Photo album

Thank GOD I stumbled across this place on google. These salt&pepper shrimp were too good which was paired with fried rice and egg rolls. I am a loyal customer now🙌🏾🙌🏾.
Excellent place for fast, fresh and very tasty Vietnamese food. There was a great selection of phos, rice and noodle dishes and banh mi sandwiches; all at pretty reasonable prices given the exorbitant inflation we have all suffered the past two years. The place is a bit run down but still very comf
I have been coming here since about 2003. Love the food. IMO this place sets the standard for many vietnamese dishes... I don't get my pho here though. 🫤
Saw that the "Worth It" show guys stopped in when they were in Houston and recommended it, so we thought we'd give it a try. We got Banh Mi sandwiches; Cali combo, pork roll, and tofu. All three were excellent and large for the price of $4. The tofu surprised me the most, had the flavor of grill mea
You know it’s going to be good when you see the Vietnamese grandmas working. Very authentic, we enjoyed all our food.
Calis is a very home style restaurant that is very authentic. I consider it to have the best banh mi in town. I have tried several places in Houston known for their banh mi and they don’t compare to calis. My go to order is a beef banh mi with a small wonton soup. 10/10 hits the spot and is very f
Delicious and affordable place! The portion was great for the price, and was all around great for Vietnamese cuisine. They have all the traditional dishes plus bánh mì. There’s lots of seating and service is pretty fast. Not the cleanest place, but for the prices there’s not much more which can be a
Stopped by to have lunch one day. I'm very particular about tofu dishes, so I tried the Cali Spicy Garlic Tofu to see how it was. I chose vegetables instead of rice. The tofu was absolutely fantastic and I was very pleased with the dish. They did a wonderful job of seasoning the dish which most plac
Great banh mi. I recommend the combo. Chicken banh mi has good flavor but is a bit dry. Also got the pork roll and grilled pork but have yet to try. Decent prices and good service. Deducting one star since there was no baby changing table in their restroom.
Houston Staple! A buddy mentioned he over-heard some business owner at another influential restaurant taking about this place. We peeped game and we’re not disappointed. The authenticity is comparable to a few spots in Chinatown we like to hit up from time to time. Btw they still have 2008 prices!
I came here before, last year and loved it so had to come back. I parked in their parking lot and walked in. We were greeted by a nice guy and was told to sit anywhere. I ordered a large lemonade which I enjoyed and was huge fyi. I ordered the rice noodles and shrimp and my friend ordered the same w
I saw this on Buzzfeed on YouTube on the Sandwich Worth It episode and it’s in Houston and close to me and I have never visited so I decided to come today while I have some errands in downtown. The sandwich was really good. The bread is just perfect and the meat and veggies are substantial for the p
Not only was the food phenomenal, but the customer service was AMAZING! I had such a great experience and was blown away both by how tasty and authentic it was! I had egg rolls and a Meatball Pho and my friend had a spicy beef chicken and pork soup. All of it was AMAZING!!! Will be back once a week!
Best viet in midtown, their coffee is amazing. My ONLY COMPLAINT and it’s been mentioned here.. pork could use more flavor. It’s not as savory as I’ve had before, still giving them 5 stars
The Tofu Bahn Mi was delicious here! I got it and an order of spring rolls which were refreshing and flavorful with the added peanut sauce. All together they filled me up(and then some) for an extremely reasonable price. The staff were all very friendly as well. A solid option if you need some inexp
Referrals from friends go a long way in my book, so we headed on over to Cali. There are definitely nicer facilities to eat, but you'd be hard pressed to find this good of quality Vietnamese food anywhere. The staff provided fast friendly service. The pho was oh so good, and the banh mi was amazing.
True to life family run Viet joint serving the best comfort flavors. Trust me the marinated tofu sandwich is a beacon of goodness and the garlic beef is dynamite. Wonton soup with shrimp and pork dumpling make you say thank you sir may I have another! And for dessert a super smooth mango/pineapple s
This place was soooo good! I'm a big fan of vermicelli so ordered Pork with Veggies and included an egg roll. Vietnamese Iced Coffee is a must try too (strong). The interior isn't very appealing but didn't bother me. The "cushioned" seats were very worn and sunk into the base where I sat. Employees
