This is a great place to go for some good barbecue. Once you get through the line, the star of the show (in my opinion) is the free bread rolls and cornbread available to grab. They are regularly refilled and absolutely delicious.
Everything is very clean, and the wait time isn't too long for fried food that is made to order. The only reason I didn't give the food 5 stars is simply because I've had better barbecue elsewhere.
I went here for breakfast and it was good. Had the French Toast breakfast that came with eggs, sausage link, and hash browns. You can't really go wrong with breakfast. The waitresses are attentive circling around for coffee refills. The atmosphere is very casual with the more country type of decor. They have a space within for large groups which is a plus. I would visit again, large portions for the price and as good as if not better than IHOP.
We have had meals here many times. This visit I had the Brisket stuffed baked potato. This meal was huge AND delicious. Had plenty to take home for another meal. The others had the moist brisket and the sliced sausage. Everyone had enough to bring home. We look forward to visiting again.

Excellent food, everyone was friendly and helpful. My husband and I have been looking for good barbeque. We found ourselves across town and discovered Harris County Smokehouse. The Texas decor was perfect. The rolls and cornbread topped it all off.

I came here because I could get bbq for breakfast. It was good, but I paid roughly $30 for a meal and a mimosa and still left looking for food. The French toast and syrup was the best part of the meal.

Fresh rolls are always amazing. Staff is courteous. It's a little pricey. The highlight of my recent visit was undoubtedly their signature brisket.
Always a great time at Harris County Smokehouse. Brought the family for a late lunch and there wasn’t a line! We all left completely stuffed and everyone enjoyed their dishes. We will definitely visit HCS in the future, even if it’s just to look all the crazy cool stuff on the walls.
Their brisket baked potatoes are loaded and more than enough for 2 people! Every meal we've had dine in or take out has been delicious! Best bbq in Houston in my opinion.
