The steak was really good but it was not great, I liked the way they cooked it but maybe I had higher expectations for the quality of the meat. In any case I would return to this place. They have a baked bread that is delicious. The waiters are really nice and the sweet potatoes fires were crispy and with the right amount of salt.

I went in through the back alley. A bit tricky. Plenty of parking in the back. Immediately was seated. My wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Make some suggestions. I ordered the lunch special sirloin with fries and soup. Chicken tortilla soup has a little kick to it.

Small intimate location! Our Server, Lacresia was AWESOME! Very attentive, advised us of available soups w/o us having to ask. She served with a caring heart and smiles! Lacresia was professional and personable at the same time. She invited us back to this location for the live band on Friday and Saturday evenings, for the desserts and wines. The food was delicious and served timely.

Had a much better experience at this Saltgrass location than the Katy frwy. one 5 years ago... which was the last time I ate at any Saltgrass.
The ribeye was extremely tender & flavored nicely, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the restaurant was clean and the staff customer oriented.

So I went to this Salt Grass this evening for dinner and ordered the chicken fried steak, salad with Thousand Island, Mac ‘n cheese, and a peach tea. While it was dinner time it didn’t take long (no more than 4 minutes) to be seated. They took the order and brought drinks promptly followed by the food. The food itself was ok, but really the service was nice. Most notably for me was the fact that the manager Jacob got was helping out. He jumped right and and did what was need to ensure a pleasurable dinning experience. The wait staff was nice as well. Journey was his name and he did a really good job. It seemed to be a “team” approach by there was someone named Tye that helped as well and was very friendly. Over all 8 gold stars ⭐️ for the level of service. My only 4 star comment was I wasn’t a fan of the chicken fried steak. I should have gone with my first mind and gotten the chicken fried chicken or an actual steak.

Just had a great late lunch at Saltgrass on Shepherd. They’re lunch menu goes until 6pm. The chicken fried steak was only $13.50. The mac and cheese is some of the best I have had. It had a good meaty flavor. Wife enjoyed her $16 sirloin too. I forgot to take pics. Great country music too.

We had dinner on a Thursday, the restaurant was busy, but a table was available as we walked in. Our food was hot, our steaks were made as we requested, and the service was great. We did have a little issue, but it was fixed without it being a huge problem. Our family's first visit at the chain and we were pleased.

We have not had bad service as of yet, but this was the best service we've ever had. The portions were perfect for the price and steaming hot. We ordered the New York strip well-done (it's the most tender and juicy way we've ever received). The ribs are fall off the bone delicious. Loaded baked potato and house salad so fresh!

One of the worst food services we have received this evening . Salad was old and soggy .. I ordered ribs and shrimp
Ribs were burned and they tried to cover with extra Barbecue sauce. Also our waiter what I believe his name was Justin Look like he was tired and ready to go However I guess he did the best he could when I informed him of the ribs he apologized and said the manager would come by he came back a second time and said if the manager had come by I responded no then manager came by I informed him I wasn't looking for anything free just wanted him to be aware that my ribs were burned and all he said was sorry then we received bill most likely will not return to this particular restaurant not a favorable experience today

First, I want to say I've gone to other Saltgrass Restaurants and this one was not the best nor the worse. Server was pleasant and friendly. I would have given it four stars but my fiancé's food and mine were served cold. He ordered a steak and I ordered the ribs. The bread they serve at the beginning was also cold. This should have been an indicator. Any-who, sides were perfect! Warm and delicious and drinks were great. Still, the main course kind of ruined the meal. We were both starving, so we just ate it anyway. Next time, we will visit another location.

The water is gross. Once I mentioned it to waitress. She said yes they have been getting that complaint a lot. Manager came over and I brought it to his attention. I still had to pay $4 for a bottle water. My ticket was $42. I gave her $50. She brought back my receipt showing I only paid $45 and $2 in change. What happened to my other $5?? I do not recommend this Saltgrass at all. It is not up to standards of other locations.
