This is a pretty good spot making a play for high end dinning. Everything we had was pretty good. The bar was extremely slow this night, but mgt was on top of it and comped a set of drinks. They had valet service, which was a bit unnecessary since it occupied the lot you'd otherwise just park in. The chorizo and queso were great. The drinks were strong. It's worth a look.

I think this place has some of the best tasting fajitas (steak) in houston. The only drawback is it's super expensive. The tacos are tasty the street style ones I believe there are three versions. The steak quesadilla is good and the fajitas are good. The salsa is also fresh and tasty

Cute place with a fun vibe. The food and drinks were good. I enjoyed sitting in the cozy patio area. Prices are in line with the area.

This place has some amazing food and staff. The waitress gave us several recommendations on what we’re the best dishes, which we actually ordered all of them. I was a little disappointed with their horchata because I’m used to it being creamier and theirs was on the thinner, almost watery side. It still had the traditional horchata flavor, minus the creaminess. The best thing we had was the single hotcake. Probably the best pancake I’ve ever had. The food did take a while to come out but all in all, everything was really good.

Holy cow the Chile Relleno was massive!! So to back up a second lol, first time here. The Relleno is always one of my go-to faves at my Mexican restaurant. I was shocked that it was so awesome. Besides being utterly massive, the breading was very light and crispy, and it was covered in the perfect amount of sauce and cheeses. It came with a tostada cheese puff, which was also quite tasty. The queso did not have a powdery taste to it which was nice. The chips were thick but the salsa was presented in small jars which I found interesting, and kept having to refill my bowl. The Verde sauce was my favorite of the two, and they also had a few other sauces of varying heat which were at request. Restaurant was clean, very stylish. The bar looks like it has a wide variety of choices. Staff was incredibly professional and prompt. No sooner than I had my to go box filled, the young lady was there to take my empty plate before I could even set it down. I will say though, that it is costly, on some of the items. A beef Taco Al Carbon plate was $29. My plate was about $22 plus the drink (Mexican Dr. Pepper in a bottle 😁). There were several entrees upwards of $30-$40 each per plate. While the size of my dish was generous, for numerous people I could see it getting a bit pricey.

We had several interactions with different staff members and each one of them were very helpful and friendly. That great service kicked off to a great and enjoyable afternoon with delicious food. We visit during brunch time and even though this place is known as a TEX-MEX restaurant it feel more like authentic Mexican restaurant. The portions of the meals were more than sufficient. We can’t wait to come back and trying a different plate.

My wife and myself decided to gothere on a Saturday for brunch. Atmosphere was great, I initially wanted to sit outside but there was a 20 min wait so we settled for inside. The interior is spacious and looked very clean, the waitstaff was outstanding. My only gripes with this place is the water they brought us, it smelled BAD, no lie it smelled like swamp water. I don’t know if it was the ice or what but that will make you lose your appetite in a heartbeat. So then I ordered a chelada, it was a dosxx with lime and a salt rim, this was an error on my behalf because I just saw chelada and didn’t read the description. I was confusing it for a michelada, which is spicy and a has a reddish color. Other than that everything else was great. I highly recommend the queso fundido with chorizo, superb. I ordered babacoa tacos which weren’t true barbacoa they instead were brisket, which the waitress explained beforehand. Those tacos were pretty good, brisket was juicy and tasty, I ordered refried beans with mines and they were ok, felt like they were missing something, too bland imo. My wife ordered tamales with two sunny side up eggs on top, she let me have a bite and they were delicious. One other thing I forgot to mention was the drink she ordered, it was called vampire something, which contained rum and horchata and cinnamon I believe, pretty good and strong. I’ll definitely be back, hopefully they fix the water issue.

Drive past this restaurant several times and decided to give it a try today so here we are. Lunch menu is classic and straightforward, ordered two enchiladas and they were all tasty, my only minor complaint would be the quesadillas, a bit too salty to my taste. Overall it was all positive. Service was excellent and the dining environment was great, will come back for more !

A previous El Tiempo regular, a couple visits to Superica easily shifted my viewpoint of the best fajitas in Houston. Similar price point, but much tastier and higher quality steak. The queso compuesto and house frozen margs are also incredible. A couple of margs and you’re good, may sneak up on you without an over sugary taste. Sometimes they offer blood orange margs which are phenomenal too. Be sure to use the online waitlist system to avoid a long wait - especially on Friday evenings! Brunch is also good - beware pancakes are giant! And served with a buttery syrup sauce
