Is there anything this family doesn’t do well? Just like all their other restaurants, this was authentic and high quality. Had to try the brisket, and it stacks up to the best places in Austin. Great crusty bark, smokey flavor and pull. Sausage was pretty good, more like a kielbasa, but good.
Surprisingly good for the amount of items they serve. The brisket I ordered fatty and it came out perfectly. The black was nice and salty and the meat was very tender and flavorful. The mac and cheese was creamy and the fries were fresh. I really like this place and think the large beef brisket plat
Good food. Great service. All the staff was nice. The line was quick, but easy. Ribs were tender and chicken was juicy. The prices were fair. Nice environment and clean. They have a drive through which is convenient. Downtown traffic is beware during rush hour.
Visited in August of 2021. I'm migrating reviews from other platforms to here, so I've copied my review here. This place is great. We're from out of town and my friend and I split the mix plate with ham, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, and a rib. We got mac and cheese and dirty rice on the side. No
I was very pleased with everything I ordered. The portions are huge when ordering the side salad and baked potato. Side dishes are much smaller in size. We really enjoyed the Mac and cheese, as well as the brisket, it was melt in your mouth good. The ribs were decent, more on the tough side. The ham
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pappas BBQ, and I must say that the brisket was absolutely fantastic. It deserves a solid 10 out of 10. The flavors were rich, the meat was tender and juicy, and it had a perfect smoky aroma. It was a truly memorable culinary experience. However, I must ment
DE-LISH-OUS!! our first time ever going, so we had questions, but the young kid at the counter had a strong NY sounding accent and talked so quiet I kept asking him to repeat it and still couldn't understand. Our food was excellent, and I never order brisket but took a chance, and man, it was top-no
The family platters is perfect for a family of 4. The meats could be warmer and I would like a few more alcohol options. But can't complain when it's this good. Best brisket I've ever had.
Food is always good at any Pappas. This visit was after a couple year gap between visits to Houston. There were actually roaming security officers inside. They even escorted us to the parking lot as we were leaving after dark. It gave off a really uncomfortable vibe.
We didn't realize it was cafeteria style when we arrived. We thought eh we'll take a chance. Boy are we glad we did. This food is FIRE!!!
I am in from out to town and wasn’t going to miss my chance to try Texas barbecue. It did not disappoint! I love the Texas size portions too
This food was delicious. I can truly say I appreciate them for their nice service.
Papa’s was deeeeelicious. We came in from out of town trying to find the best nearby bbq spot we could, and we found it. I don’t eat bbq very often but I can say that the variety of plates and sauces here is absolutely worth the stop.
Great BBQ and good atmosphere. Outdoor sitting and friendly staff. They say it is first BarBQ restaurant in Texas.
I thoroughly enjoy this location, the staff is super friendly and the food is always fresh n tasty.. Even when it's slow.. Great job- Pierce location! (my experience when the restaurants are slow the food taste a bit stale n dry)
I ordered the catfish plate, which I love so much, with a side of Mac and cheese! Exquisite!
Dang good BBQ. We had the meat trio with a rib, brisket, and sausage and that was delicious. The meat and most sides had some good Texas spice to it. I recommend the yams with the meat and the cream corn. Yum! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very chill. We heard about it from four diff
