Excellent Ethiopian and Eritrea food and atmosphere. The price is excellent for what you get and they have Great traditional Tea not the American type that comes in a bag. They also have traditional Honey Wine and food flavor is amazing. I got off the plane from the Carribean Islands and came straig
Enjoyed our meal here. This is the first Ethiopian restaurant that I’ve been served rice with the meal. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. We ordered 2 vegetarian (Mesir wot and kik Alicha) and one meat entree (doro wot). The sambusa was very good—highly recommend. Vegetarian friendly. V
First time to try Ethiopian cuisine. The server recommended the vegetarian platter and Girgiro tibs, which are really delicious. We really like our dishes. The owner and server are pretty welcoming. Great experience!
Lucy is by far the BEST Ethiopian food we have ever eaten. My husband and I have been frequent diners for over 10 years, and for good reason, not only is the food delicious & authentic, the owner, (whom is absolutely beautiful inside and out) & service are incredible. We feel the love and also taste
I've always wanted to try out Ethiopian cuisine and Lucy's was my first. It was a good experience but didn't quite hit the spot. The interior ambience and the hospitality was spot on though. As an Indian, I could draw some similarities with Indian cuisine. The Good: 1. Friendly waitress who took th
Delicious food!! Tried honey wine from Ethiopia that was great! And the ambiance is based on Ethiopian culture which seems unique and different!! 😊
Had the pleasure of checking out Lucy's with my friend and had a great experience for our first time. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing. We had their sambusa, meat and vegetable combo and it did not disappoint. A must if you are wanting great tasting Ethiopian food
Being a fan of different experiences, and cuisine, Lucy’s Houston hit my radar. It’s not in the part of town with the fanciest restaurants, but I was excited to enjoy Ethiopian cuisine again! Entering, I was a little thrown off, because the place looked like it had just suffered a huge wind gust,
If you’ve never tried Ethiopian food, this is a good place to start. And I don’t just say that to describe their food as basic or modest. Their food hits deep and from the first bite, you realize why the Ethiopian and African community hold this place in such high regard. Staff are friendly and take
Lovely little place that makes you feel right at home. We stopped in for lunch and ordered the sambusa, a platter for 2, and some spaghetti (kids....). We also had the tea. We were very pleased with our meal. It was on the edge of our tolerance for spiciness, which means that almost anyone can eat t
My twin and I celebrated our 45th birthday here with our family. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious and healthy. They can accommodate large groups and made us feel like royalty!!!
True Ethiopian food, I felt like I was eating at their family dining table. If your a foodie please come here for a real local experience. Side note … the portions are out of this world!
I have passed this place for years and finally stopped in. I'm so glad I did. The service was amazing. The food was excellent, and I can't say enough about the atmosphere. So welcoming and warm! I will definitely be back.
Great venue for events the food is amazing. The sports bar is great as well. Highly recommend the Tibs and Kitfo.
It was my first time having Ethiopian food and it was DELICIOUS!!!! My bestie and I had a sample platter where we ate the meat and vegetable options along with the bread and rice. The mango juice is delicious and my left overs were even better. Definitely have to go back with more friends! ❤️❤️
Probably one of the best Ethiopian food I’ve had. I took the lamb tibs and a vegetarian combo.
My boyfriend decided he wanted to try Ethiopian food, and his birthday was coming up so we decided to go to Lucy's. Best decision ever! The food was absolutely amazing. We started with the Eggplant Dip and Sambusa. So good! The Sambusa came out piping hot and crispy, and the sauce that came wit
