The Springbok - Houston - Photo album

This place has garnered a reputation from coworkers as the place to go on the basis of one dish. That dish is the crispy brussel sprouts. And the reputation is well deserved. The sprouts' leaves are separated and fried to a crisp. It's lightly seasoned. Their fries are pretty strong. Mac and cheese
Lovely restaurant with patio seating. Really enjoyed the crispy brussel sprouts (ate them so quickly I didn't get a pic) as well as the mushroom appetizer and buffalo burger. Nice place to meet up with friends.
I came here for a networking event. The best part about this location is that is right in front of the rail. You can also come here for lunch and dinner as well. The food here is good. The Ambiance is great as well. There's an outside patio that's nice. I recommend sitting outside when it's a beauti
Delicious and unique food. Probably the best chicken I've ever had.
This place has become my usual spot to grab lunch. The food is great and the service, although slow when I first started going about a year ago, it's definitely up to par now. I go for the food and my waitress, Heather. She's got a great personality and I welcome the fact that she knows my usual...t
We met a few folks that worked at this place and they invited to come check this place out. They are still putting the finishing touches on the place but it is so adorable. I love that it's spacious and has various little trinkets and wall decor. It feels authentic and unpretentious which is the bes
The food served here is phenomenal. Everything from the deviled eggs to the lamb chops is well plated always hot. They have a friendly staff that is entertaining to talk to and drink next to. The view from the balcony upstairs give you a nice lookout for downtown Houston. Would recommend to come
Really enjoyed this place. Went twice and wanted to go a third time. Just the right amount of everything. Good beer selection. Good cocktails. Very good food. Cool atmosphere. Just the right amount of people. When Flying Saucer is too damned crowded. Walk down here. Slight twist to most item, but no
Very good bar/restaurant in downtown Houston. Excellent craft beer selection and a very good menu. We had the Buffalo Burger and fries. A little over cooked , but was still delicious. Service was also a little slow. Nice inside with plenty of tables and seats at the bar and a nice little patio in
I've been to Springbok several times, the food is very good. Don't come here expecting spicy food, even if it says 'spicy' on the menu - it just means that the food has South African seasoning on it. And the cuisine is very good - flavorful, despite the lack of spice. A lot of the condiments are hou
The service was excellent and the food was fantastic! The gluten free options were not extensive but the wait staff was knowledgeable and the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the Peri Peri Chicken and Mushrooms with Grits. I imagine it will be even better once they've completed renovations.
Rustic South African restaurant that serves good food with a wonderful atmosphere and wonderful staff. It's not unusual for the Owner and Chef to meet with customers. I have been here a few times and I'm impressed every time. Go with an open mind. It's different ... That's what makes it wonderful.
Had the great pleasure of dining at the Springbok Bar in Houston recently. The food was excellent, with a great combination of fresh summer fare and traditional South African entrees. My family and friends raved about the food, atmosphere and hospitality!
The rabbit stew was flavorful and delicious. The craft beer selection was varied and satisfying. Really enjoyed myself there after a long work day. Definitely will go back, and recommend it to all.
Visit as part of a corporate party upstairs. Good (not great) choice of craft beers in cans/bottles. Great view overlooking main St. Wings and sugar coated bacon as appetizers. A nice place, recommended.
The dichotomy of this place is great; The downstairs is a restaurant classically adorned with rich wood, animal mounts, brass, and chandeliers. While the upstairs is has proven (at least from my last 2 experiences) to be quite the spot to really party hard and get a little wild. This is my starting
