The hostess on call welcomed us in a very friendly manner. And our server was equally friendly and courteous also. We sat in the patio right in front of a cute fountain. It was great to get mimosas by the carafe now. I don't recall that being an option during my previous visit a couple of months back. We ordered two omelets: Peggy's lobster omelet and Pete's Colorado omelet both of which were satisfactory. The creme brulee bread pudding was amazing though. I would recommend that any day. I look forward to trying out other items on their menu.

Restaurant Week- Dinner tonight was very good. My first time there and it was a delight. The service was excellent. The food portions was generous and all was tasty. We ordered the wrapped asparagus, sweet heat chicken, egg rolls, salmon, braised ribs, and shrimp scampi, banana foster crepes, and chocolate cake. Drinks were very affordable. The bartender and his partner were very professional. Definitely will come back!

Union Kitchen is one of the best brunch options in the loop! They have a diverse menu that offers both traditional brunch options and some others with more flair. The beignets are awesome - highly recommended! - as were the waffles and the breakfast bowl. All that plus bottomless mimosas! Can’t go wrong with brunch at Union Kitchen, especially with groups.

Great place to grab a quick bite to eat. We sat outside near the fountain. this location is great-- across the street from Whole Foods, Greenwood Compound Pharmacy is close by. Our waiter Jose was prompt, efficient, and freindly. We had calamari (delicious yet unconventional) with grilled onions, pepperoncini, sweet peppers and feta, and a baked brie pastry with fig sauce and water crackers (yummmmy) as appetizers (I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures). Our main meal was Salmon with pesto risotto and my nephew ordered a club sandwich (colossal) with fries. Everything was delicious. There is a lunch menu and wine list. This place would be great for brunch. I usually go to the Kingwood location. BTW, neither of us could finish our lunch; we took it to go. Great portions!!

The food is wonderful and the portions are large. The menu is varied with many breakfast, brunch, and lunch choices. They offer a great discount for police, firemen and veterans. The restaurant also has a well stocked bar with great drinks.

Just one of our favorite neighborhood places still! Sat at the bar, arriving at 5 p.m. to have happy hour and dinner. Eric at the bar was our main man and took good care of us. Started with my favorite Craig’s Mexican Martini and the husband had a beer. As we are Loyalty Club members, we got an appetizer for half price. We love the Lolo Hawaiian Tostada. (Half price was $5!) Still continues to be our favorite appetizer. Zingy, too! For dinner, I chose the Peggy’s Diver Scallops, also one of my favorites. Love the butternut squash risotto that take center stage with the scallops surrounding the risotto. My husband had the Braised Beef Short Ribs. (I did not have a bite that night, but ate a small portion of leftovers that we brought home and it was delicious! Served with mashed potatoes.) As always, we will be back!!

Good, but not great service which is why taking that one star out of 5. Food was delicious. We ordered a bottle of wine, and Mac n Cheese for starters. To our surprise, it wasn't an ordinary dish. It was legit tasty Mac N Cheese! Next we ordered some Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Spaghetti Pesto Cream Sauce with Diced Chicken as Entrees: The Parmesan Crusted chicken was the winner! Absolutely sumptuous and tasteful! To end our nice feast, we ordered a Creme brulee, to the lack of having an option of a Brownie and Ice cream option, but the Creme brulee wasn't that disappointing. Overall, The union kitchen could be a great for a Weekend Date night!

The original!! This is a super cool spot in Bellaire. I eat lunch here a couple of time per month. Last time in I had a burger and that was served as my dinner too! This is the first Union Kitchen or the 6. Super chill staff, great food, and the prices are reasonable. Great spot for a quick lunch.

First time here. A friend suggested Union Kitchen for brunch today and I just want to begin by saying the Waitress went above and beyond for us. It was a small group of 5 and I’m vegan in the group. The only terrible thing about Union Kitchen is that they don’t serve anything vegan! You may get a vegetarian option of pasta. All the soups that is served here is made with chicken broth (which was disappointing), even the marinara sauce is made with chicken broth so don’t get it on your pasta if your vegan or vegetarian. Nonetheless, my friends love everything they ordered and I was happy that the waitress was knowledgeable of their menu enough to tell me about chicken broth when she learned of my diet restrictions.

My first time at Union Kitchen and absolutely not my last. The food here is delicious! Eric, the bartender is warm, welcoming, and attentive. $2.00 mimosas during brunch, what a deal! I had the Elvis Banana Foster Belgium waffle and it was filling and perfect!!!
