Central Texas Bar-b-q - Houston - Photo album

Tucked away near Hobby Airport, you’ll find a hidden gem - Central Texas Barbecue. At first glance, you might miss it, but believe me, this discovery was a delightful chance encounter. As soon as you step in, you’re enveloped by its cozy, authentic ambiance. A genuine testament to family-owned estab
Delicious food and the service is fast. I couldn’t finish the potato, as you can see it’s huge. I was in and out in around 5 minutes!
Fast, tasty, and full. The place is a bit dirty, but I'm rooting for them to scale up to a restaurant as bug as their food deserves
Tuesday early lunch. Just came out of the airport after an early morning flight and stopped for some lunch. The parking area warns you to lock your car and take all your valuables, we were one of only a few cars so it was a bit concerning but the reviews were awesome so we kept moving. Everywhere
Loved the A La Carte Deluxe (all the meat) and sweet tea. Close to the airport and tasted amazing! Deluxe comes with Chicken, Roast Beef, Ribs, Turkey, Sausage (jalapeño or regular, I got 1/2 and 1/2), and pickles and onion. I got it with BBQ sauce poured over the top. Sliced bread was provided too.
Hole in the wall with history. Good bbq and really friendly service. Sliced beef was a tiny bit tough but really flavorful. Sausage was excellent. Overall, had a good experience. Friend had bread pudding and said it was the highlight for him
Great service, the ham was really good and jalapeño sausage. Very cozy place. Bread is self serve by the fountain drink station & the sides are delicious, mac and cheese, loaded Mash papa's, greens. & stuffing
I had the 2 meat lunch plate with 2 sides. The portions were more than generous. I ordered the brisket, and ribs along side the green beans and turkey casserole. The ribs were great, and the brisket was a little tough/dry. The green beans were well seasoned and the turkey casserole was salty, b
First time eating there. Their baked potato was delicious. In my opinion, the quantity of food is better than Papas BBQ. A bit pricey but for the portions of food you get, it's worth it.
Great food! Huge servings, highly recommended BBQ spot!!👍🏻👍🏻
I am a pilot by trade. We travel to just about every part of the country on a weekly basis. I have been blessed to be able to try different barbecues. In just about every state in the union. Central Texas barbecue, in my opinion has the best ribs. I never once even considered putting barbecue sa
The sides are especially delicious. The barbecue is pretty good. The have FRESH lemonade & fresh tea with unlimited refills. Open only M- F until 3 pm. Right across from Hobby Airport. Great place to eat or take-out!
Most tender brisket I have ever had in the whole USA! More food than you can eat. Home made sides and sauce is all delicious!
Mannn this place gets a 5 star over the BOARDER , I wasn’t skeptical at all for my first time trying them while being in Houston for the first time , dirty rice & Mac & cheese to die for , some of the best sides I’ve ever had. Barbecue sauce definitely good.
Stopped at this place when I had a layover. The food was delicious! I wanted to try everything. The staff were very friendly and the place was clean and cute. I will make sure to book my next flight with a long enough layover to visit this place again.
If you'd like some decent BBQ this place is a hidden gem. Just get in line order what you'd like, sit down and eat and enjoy the laid back vibe. I've tried the brisket, pork ribs and chili on a cold day is perfect
On business travel and found this gem, their $10 sandwich combo lunch special was a no brainer. Chopped beef sandwich, side order of chicken casserole and a medium drink were all so good. The staff were super friendly, definitely recommend to anyone looking for some good classic Texas BBQ.
Went for lunch, had the Sliced Beef Sandwich combo. The Beef was very thick and got a lot of meat on the bun. It was a little dry though. Came with the Pinto beans, good flavor to them.
Only a couple minutes outside of Hobby airport so I recommend stopping right after you land. They Throwdown some killer BBQ! The Brisket, smoked jalapeño sausage and Banana pudding was all amazing and I recommend all 5 items. The chicken was good but nothing special. It’s a little hole in the wall m
