We went for a birthday celebration without many expectations. Food was amazing and the service super friendly. It's a little bit pricey but it's totally worth the experience. We had a great time!
Hanging out with my friends here first time was a great experience. Food is delicious, service is fast and welcoming, atmosphere and decors are great. Recommend!
I hosted a party for my family with five guests. Having lived in Italy in the past, my first condition when choosing an Italians restaurant is whether they spell the name of the food correctly or not! If they can't spell it, chances are they can't cook it properly! They passed that test! We were all impressed with the food and service. All of our dishes were cooked properly and well presented. They even de-boned the Branzino for my uncle table side (like it should be done). Great food with a couple of bottles of Italian wine (Prosecco and Barolo) makes for a great night.
food is exceptionally authentic, and every dish we ordered was nothing short of amazing. love the variety of options for branzino; an exceptional wine list; intimate ambiance. it’s an unassuming spot from the outside — be sure to check it out.
Best Italian food in HTown❤️
I don’t know how and why I missed it for the last 8 years but finally we arrived to the Italian food Heaven. The most talented chef made a very special black risotto for me and then also a beautiful desert. My friend and I loved it all. I played a little music too and all staff was singing along and super friendly. We ran into a famous plastic surgeon and talked to a few guests. All in all, great times. Grazie Mille!
Authentic and brilliant! This restaurant has always been my gran’s fav and becoming one of my favorites as well. The food has both great flavor with excellent presentation, and the restaurant itself will make you feel like you’re in a local restaurant in Amalfi for sec! But because how popular it is, always remember to make reservations ahead of time cause whichever day you come, it’s always busy!
Wow, what an incredible experience! Very professional waitstaff. Well seasoned flavorful and I appealing food. Well plated and presented. Overall a great dining experience
Went yesterday for Valentine's Day lunch. Read reviews. Made a reservation. It was 1pm and still busy. We ordered the 3-course lunch + grilled octopus. The main reason I chose Amalfi was for the octopus.
We'd had moist, very tender "pulpo" in sauce in Spain, and I wanted to taste that deliciousness again!
As soon as the octopus came out, I put aside my first course and focused on that! Letting it sit would not be a good thing. Grilled being the only choice, the meat was firmer but so richly flavored that my husband took a few pieces before sitting back as I went for it!
The salad was a decent size. The house-made pasta was nice. The prettily presented chocolate mousse was yummy. I will say that if we hadn't ordered the octopus, I would have still been a touch hungry.
The service was good. The surroundings were lovely. We should come back for dinner.
I came for Houston Restaurant Week, the menu and food were amazing. Came with two couples and we all tried a bite of each dish and they were all delicious. They also gave me a birthday dessert and the musician serenaded our table. Such a great double date. My only issue was our waiter was a little distracted and was missing the table light (which we had to ask for), a napkin setting (such we had to ask for twice), and we didn't get the frozen bellini drink even though we all did the HRW meal.... that's the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. The food is amazing though... I'll be back for the food, not so much for the service.
It was my 42years bday . Celebration with my husband. Food was good and love live piano music. Atmosphere. I like the plates blue and white with ocean aorganism print. Where can I buy it I want to buy those dish for myself so pretty . I'll definitely back sometimes. Love desserts also tiramisu was so yummy.
