Pico's offers a variety of Mexican regional dishes without steering far from the standard expected fare. It is a big space that offers several areas for private events.
Food: 4 stars. It was good, not great. I would like to see some creative exploration or refinement in the dishes. The drinks were top-notch. We especially enjoyed the sotol lemonade. Not a lot of places serve sotol.
Service: 5 stars. Great service from the host, waiter, and bussers.
Atmosphere: 4 stars. It's kind of an old hacienda vibe with some nice decor moments, but parts of the restaurant feel dated and are likely originating from the previous restaurant that inhabited the space. The acoustics were not good, and the space was loud for 15% occupancy.
Go hungry, if you’re going to the Sunday brunch. It’s about $45 a person, but it’s exceptionally good. And they have everything on this buffet. There’s so much food there. It was hard to decide what to get. My husband got a chicken dish that comes baked in a banana leaf. It’s definitely worth checking out.

PRO'S: Pico's Restaurant had original offerings for Houston Restaurant Week. At lunch we passed in the excellent Margaritas. Starter tortilla soup was well made. Delicious Spinach Enchiladas had almonds for added flavor.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent and even though there was live music and the place was packed, we could still comfortably talk to each other.
As a Mexican, I can vouch that this place has good Tex-Mexican food! From the salsa, to the queso, to the fajita, to the churros. Quality food and service!
Great food and atmosphere. If not for the football game playing, and inconsiderate customers thinking this was a fast food place, it would be top notch. Waiter was superb.
Great menu with many choices. They have red snapper for all fish dishes. All of their tortillas are homemade. The campechana, tacos al pastor with fresh pineapple, and posole rojo were all fantastic. Also love their tamales.
The food was awesome had Milanessa and my sister had the Mola. The corn tortillas and flour good to. Desert too
Pico's offers a good variety of Mexican foods, from various regions .
This is not my first visit, and I found the staff to be a bit cold.
The food was pretty average, with the exception of the ceviche, which were yummy.
Great restaurant! Has an up-scale of interior And fine dining feel. While sorta priced to match, it had lower prices than another well known place nearby.
Our server was excellent, answering questions and giving a recommendation when asked. He even told us about events at the restaurant.
But the food stole the show just as it should! Amazing tacos for an appetizer, beef enchilada was delicious and then there was the mole. It was absolutely phenomenal, the lamb was moist and tender while the type of mole was somewhat sweet. It was a great pairing.
