A special "Date Night" treat...everything was outstanding. No wait for our reservation, and an outstanding Old Fashioned got the night started. Lobster Deviled Eggs and Jumbo Lump Crabcakes, the tasty appetizers, served as the semi-surf portion of the meal. The Caesar (no anchovies) & Lettuce Wedge salads were crisp, refreshing, and perfectly timed. My wife had the Filet Mignon and I had the NY Strip...both were cooked perfectly and complimented by the Creamed Spinach and Au Gratin Potatoes. Coffee, Key Lime Pie and Peach Cobbler were the perfect end to a great date night meal. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny...
What can I say, this amazing restaurant truly deserves 5 stars. From the ambience to the wonderful servers and the exceptional food.
Every time we come here it is a top notch experience.
Tonight we came again and as usual, wonderful food and service. Danny was our server this evening and was exceptional, even bringing me a small taster of the soup my husband ordered as I had the salad but thought the soup sounded wonderful. And it was!
I honestly can not say enough good things about this place. It is always busy and I understand why.
Best steak place in Houston! Exceptional!
An excellent location to go to if you can afford it. Will say though few servers are not as good as most working. It makes it seem you got terrible service. However with the good ones, you are treated as if you were a celebrity. Food wise, will say the steak was seasoned a bit too much, but cooked perfectly. Amazing soup and dessert. Also the atmosphere is Amazing 👏!
The service at this establishment is a bit of a coin toss, depending largely on the server you're assigned. Some staff members were attentive, friendly, and eager to make our dining experience enjoyable, while others seemed distant but professional for sure.
As for the food, I must admit that the taste was delightful. Each dish was prepared with care, and the flavors were well-balanced and satisfying.
One aspect that left me slightly disappointed was the ambiance. The surrounding noise level was quite high, making it difficult to engage in a comfortable conversation with my friends without raising our voices. The constant background noise made it challenging to fully enjoy our meal and connect with each other.
This is an awesome steakhouse to eat at. Service is over the top and the drink menu is to die for. Yes the food was awesome go here and don’t forget your checkbook because yes it’s expensive. Go have a few drinks and enjoy.
It's not often that I decide to dine in downtown. While parking and congestion are usually enough to buffer my risk vs. reward towards other options. Pappa Bros was worth the hassle of $25 parking to go spend a few hours enjoying a fine steakhouse in my hometown.
The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The food is top notch even though the menu is slightly limited compared to other comparable restaurants.
We loved our dinner at pappas. The lobster deviled eggs where so yummy. Very unique and worth a try. The steaks were very juicy and delicious. The augratin potatoes where to die for. The toasted marshmallow mousse was sooo delicious
Pappas Bros. Steakhouse was incredible! The staff provide top notch service to our large party. The food came out in a timely manner, and everyone was impressed with the food. I had the Prime Ribeye and wedge salad. BEST STEAK I'VE EVER HAD!
My aunt and I came here for dinner. Hands down the best dining experience in Houston. Phenomenal steak cooked to perfection with a lot of flavor, unbelievable wine selection, and the best cheesecake known to man. Made in house and perfect in creaminess and taste. Stop thinking. Just make a reservation.
Amazing service and dinner. This was a real steakhouse. Now I ordered the live lobster and it was delicious. Down to the deserts they were awesome. We had the a5 as a appetizer and probably the best bits of steak I have ever had.
First time visit with a client and what an amazing service and atmosphere. I had the lamb rack entrée with the crab Mac n cheese and onion rings. Amazing sides but 1 star loss on the lamb rack due to lack of seasoning in the meat. Just seemed the flavor was on the outside but never made it inside. The lamb rack at Perry's, in my opinion, was very good. Definitely will return to try other entrées.
Service was phenomenal, kudos to Kirk for a job well done there. Ambiance was excellent, and the food was mostly stellar. Crab cakes are top tier, baked potato is good but not memorable, as are the steak fries, but the lobster mac and cheese was simply OUTSTANDING. The margaritas have a slight spice kick which I wasn’t a fan of. My girlfriend absolutely loved her lamb chops, but the bone-in ribeye I feel was missing something. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t particularly memorable or a standout, which was disappointing. I honestly have enjoyed my steaks at Perry’s or Taste of Texas more. Having to pay for parking downtown is an annoyance, so expect that when you arrive. The key lime pie is simply to die for, I will give them that. I’m struggling to parse my feelings about this place since everything was basically perfect except for the main dish. Like I said, the steak was not bad by any means, but it didn’t capture the high end steakhouse magic I crave every time I try a new steakhouse, so I’m not sure how I feel at this point about coming back anytime soon when there’s already a bevy of top tier options in Houston. I still recommend everyone try this at least once however.
