Beautiful build out. Completely different look from the original. Gorgeous new location. Excellent service. Just a couple of weeks in. Brick Chicken was really good. Beef short rib dish was excellent. The kids had spaghetti and Meatballs which was delicious. Loved the flavor of the frutii de mare.

Dined at its new location on West Dallas just east of Waugh Dr. Was expecting a lot, and came away fully enamored with the new concept. Just enough new and old on the menu, with an interior that straddles Ratpack chic and art deco cool. Very impressed.

What a wonderful dinning experience. From the moment we entered this establishment the service was at a 10. The menu is has complex flavors and though it is small there really is something for everyone.
The pasta is fresh and light, and well balanced with selected sauces. The braised short rib is perfectly prepared and melts in your mouth, knife not needed. From the risotto to the gnocchi, every bite of our food was decadent and delightful. Even the ending espresso was divine.
This special restaurant with next level service and bites bursting with flavor, is a better option than other chain restaurants such as Ruth Chris are Perry's.
Great for date night, celebrations, or a well deserved meal, come and enjoy a wonderful, flavourful dinning experience.

Wow, this might be my be favorite restaurant. The service was so good. I feel like we had a team of 3 or 4 waiters and busboys waiting on us. Great teamwork. And the food... Oh the food! From the complimentary breads, to the specials, to the desserts. We started of with bisque that was exceptional. I had the flounder special of the day. So good! My teenaged daughter wanted a simple fettuccine Alfredo, which isn't on the menu, but no problem. They were happy to do it. And she says it was the best she's ever had... And believe me when I say she's had fettuccine Alfredo at a lot of different places, lol. The other dishes were all good. For dessert we split a cheesecake and the 3 scoops of ice cream. So decadent. Luckily we had our teenaged son with us, since he can finish any meal. But I could have eaten a tub of the strawberry ice cream. Insanely good. Only down side is that this place is expeeeeensive. Either way, not your usual local Italian food joint. If you have the means, or just have a special occasion to justify the cost, this is a great place to have dinner.

We had a good experience at La Griglia. We got the dancie salad and sausage and pepper pizza. Both were good, not the best we have ever had, but still solid. Our servers were attentive and I appreciated the complimentary bread basket and small dessert treats at the end of the meal. Overall, my experience here was good but not excellent.

Had my 45th birthday here. All I have to say is WOW! Best manager, JAY. Best head waiter, TOMMY. The place was really nice. The service was tremendous the food was really delicious. We came with a group of 16 and we had two waiters and they did a phenomenal job. Great place for a dinner gathering. Great ambience too.The banquet room is so charming with the vibrant, colorful murals that transport you to Little Italy. 5 stars all the way. La Griglia is perfect for a date or a night out with family and friends. Love y'all!!!

I love the feel of the charm of the place definitely must have the pizza bread which is served as a starter. Been here before in the past but, came specifically for the Fat Tuesday pairing dinner. All I can say is "wow!" Absolutely beautiful decor, great service and, fabulous food/drinks! What an awesome event! Their service is always great but they really out did themselves! Already looking forward to next year!

I love that this place has free bread (and delicious too) and also free cookies after meal. I thought the mussels in sauce was so scrumptious. The spices/flavors could be stronger.
The prices were standard for Italian restaurant and portions were just right ! The wait staff was so nice and the manager even gave me extra cookies !
Overall enjoyed this place and would come back.

I could literally just eat the pizza bread they start you off with, it’s so delicious! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The appetizers and dessert were delicious. The entree was a little bland but I would definitely try it again. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming and overall a good experience. Definitely recommend the shrimp and crab cheesecake!

The bread was SO good! We ordered mussels to start which were absolutely AMAZING! We were exited to get our food after the delicious app!
Bday girl and her sister got the FRUTTI DI MARE, brother got PAGLIA E FIENO, dad got salmon with the lump crab and I got the SHORT RIB AGNOLOTTI. Unfortunately, all but my meal fell really flat. All of theirs were missing flavor. My sons was way too creamy. The fish was over cooked and the crab wasn’t fresh at all😩 The girls picked the seafood out but didn’t eat the rest. (It came home, got jazzed up and was eaten by brother the next day). Brothers food got bagged up but thrown away because there was no saving it. It was just too heavy on the cream. Dad…well, he didn’t like it but he ate it!😂😂. Mine, mine was phenomenal. Which is crazy because I don’t usually eat beef but I’d go back for more of that and the mussels!
I’d also go back to check out their patio when it’s not so hot! Inside and out are very specious.

The food was delicious. We all bought different plates and shared, and there was nothing that I didn't like. The service was A+. My only complaint is that the tables are really close to each other, so it's hard to move around for the servers, and it gets too loud, almost to the point you barely can hear the person next to you.
But the food is OMG

Beautiful decor inside and patio. Food was good but the apparently excessive staff seemed to be relatively untrained and chaos. Four people at the entrance but no one greets, opens doors or says goodbye. Staff inside the restaurant were quite friendly though. It took 20 minutes to get a menu and another 20 for a cocktail. No one seems to grasp the big picture with 8-10 different wait staff at our table with little continuity or effectiveness. I'm sure this will all come together and be a valued restaurant soon...

A good friend referred me to La Griglia, so I made a reservation for Friday, 4-21-17. First of all, La Griglia is lively inside. There are loads of people, and they are having fun. Second, the smell of the place impresses you right away. The smell of the wood-fired oven, and the various seasonings, just assaults your senses. Third, the breads are great. My wife is a huge fan of the bread basked, and what fun to have fresh tomato sauce over pizza crust, right out of the oven. Fourth, it's the little things that make a restaurant special. Our waiter was tied up with a large party, so the manager stopped by, took or order, and took care of us. He stopped and checked on us several times. Now, for the food. The diver scallops appetizer with asparagus risotto was perfect. Scallops are easy to over cook, but these were perfect. My wife had the beef spare rib with wild mushroom risotto, and raved about the wonderful flavor. I had the soft-shell crab special, and it was very good. For dessert, we split the chocolate cake, and it was wonderful. It was served slightly heated, with ice cream, and the center was a chocolate ganache. I always am impressed when the pastry chef doesn't over sweeten a dessert. This cake had the great bittersweet dark chocolate taste, and it was so rich the two of us couldn't finish it. So kudos to La Griglia. You made us very happy.

The meal was mediocre and the service was terrible. We went to celebrate my birthday with a group of people and told them ahead of time that I was gluten free because I have Celiac Disease. I told the waitstaff and requested gluten free options. I was told that the Fruite Del Mar was gluten free with the gluten free pasta. When my meal was brought out they told me it was gluten free. Within 15 minutes of getting home that night I became very ill and discovered that I had been glutened. This was a horrible experience and I don't recommend anyone with Celiac to eat here!

I attended their Halloween party for the first time and it was fun, but too crowded and not enough room to dance or eat. Pizza was good, but not many choices. Good food and atmosphere. Nice restaurant, but a bit pretentious.
