Seasonal ice cream and burger stand. I do believe Annie, who ran the place for 30 years, is finally calling it quits. Food was always excellent but preparation time was long. I believe they only cooked one order at a time. Three covered picnic tables for outside eating. Handicap accessible with limited parking. No restroom although there is a Shell station across the highway. Hopefully it reopens under new ownership as it was extremely busy during the season.
Correction: There are two covered picnic tables and 5 total tables, all on concrete slabs.
Update June 2022
Yeah they're still in business although for sale.
More consistent hours and full menu. However the Shell station is rarely open, staff issues, so no available restroom except the Town public restrooms a few blocks away open 24/7
October 20, 2022
Closed for the season
To those who took the time to write a bad review…….sad for you. No doubt Annie is laughing. Annie and her iconic self made road attraction delivers short but special notes of wisdom. 🤔🥴🤣 Milkshakes & fried Mac& cheese bites are the best on -the -road luxuries. We always plan a stop & see this amazing woman every year pulling our Airstream from New Smyrna Beach Florida to The Pacific Northwest. ❤️
Small family operated business and ONLY ACCEPTS CASH!!!! The food was exactly what we expected. Fried food options, burgers, hotdogs, and ice cream everything you need for hot summer day. The only reason why I didn't give a 5 star review was time. Respectfully there were only 2 people working and the line of people never ended. Definitely recommend if you have the cash on hand
By far, this was the best burger I have ever eaten, then you follow it with the most fresh fried mushrooms and onion rings! My family and I are hard to please when it comes to an everyday burger; this burger is anything but ordinary. Taste like it was made with love ♥️ well done!
Always the best food... The best hamburger stand around. I ordered just regular cheeseburger with bacon, and an order of onion rings, the burger was real pressed meat, hand pressed, and done the old-fashioned way on a grill instead of a microwave. Great selection of drinks, it's where the locals eat most!!!
Surprisingly good burger, even better Philly cheese steak. $20 for a cheese burger, Philly, french fries, onion rings and fried zucchini. Totally worth the money. Driven past the place so many times, thought it was just an ice cream stop. But damn, the food was good
Made to order hamburgers, onion rings, and fries that were worth the wait. Place is crowded and all of the seating is outside. Get there early and grab a shaded table! Then, be patient and get ready to enjoy some delicious food!
This place has amazing food but just know that it's owned by a grouchy lady who, when she messes up your order that is written correctly on the card, will be very unpleasant to you if you bring it up with her. Takes forever to get your order and then even longer to get your food but if you are willing to endure all of that and if you're lucky enough to have your food come out the correct way, you are sure in for a treat. Great food, great selection and great prices
Their sign warns that they make each order fresh so not to bother ordering if u don't have time to wait. But shaded tables in mountain setting makes for a lovely wait. Burgers and ice cream are yummy--and they have something new on the menu--fried cauliflower! They served a steady flow of customers while we were there.
A greasy burger joint that hits the spot after a long day of driving and soaking in the hot spring(great shakes, too). Family owned and operated, so make sure you're tipping the kids at the window! Cash only.
