It's a Denny's and all that that implies. It is good hot food prepared quickly and served without fanfare. When we visited late on a Sunday night, there was only one cook and one waitress present. Our waitress was not even supposed to be there, but came in to take a shift. Business was brisk with a steady stream of customers walking through the door. We enjoyed our stop for food before taking the next step in our long drive home. It's fast food, but its also good food.
Training at Fort Lee is not easy, but the staff at this Dennys made me feel like part of the family when I got of work late each night for dinner. They were hard working, kind, professional and fast. The fare was reasonably priced and tasty. They even accommodated my special diet at no extra cost. I definitely recommend this particular Dennys location.
The food was good, but my order was wrong when it came to the table. The waitress didn't write down mine or my son's order when she was taking our order, but figured it would be ok. We both ordered the build your own Grand Slam. A while after order I went to the restroom and the food was being delivered as I was coming back to my seat and when I sat down my son was looking at me because he knew I had ordered Toast and she brought pancakes. Now, I know that that really would be an upgrade, but when you order something that is what you are expecting. I didn't even eat half of 1 pancake so they went to waste.
Kids eat free on Tuesday night 🙂. My little ones enjoyed chicken strips, choc chip pancakes and cheese burgers! The food was awesome and the waitress attentive. We will definitely return.
