The Boiling Crab

I enjoyed the "mild" cajun taste of the mussles and the corn. To make an order may be a little tricky so an explanation of the menu is recommended. Before your food arrives, the server helps you wear your bib which is a cute act. Food is good but if this place becomes busy, they will want to make you in a hurry for them to give your table to the next party. Servers will keep coming to your table asking if you need anything else, if you need a box, they even give your bill ahead although you still want to make interesting conversations with your group. This place is huge, they even have tables upstairs but I guess they want to keep the guests on the ground floor. So even when we still wanted to socialize, we decided to leave and looked for somewhere else to mingle. Parking is not a problem. There is a validated parking facility and lots of street parking also. Restrooms have code provided by the respective restaurants.

Visited 4 August 2022 I visited multiple times before but didn't realize I never wrote a review. Gasp! Although they don't make reservations, our party of 8 was able to join the Yelp waitlist. It made it convenient as they already knew we were coming. Once we sat, they informed us of the virtual menu but hard copy menus was also available, which we choose. I feel the hard copy menus are easier to navigate. Once we ordered, it came out quick but, a bit slower than my previous visits. We ordered three crawfish combos, a snow crab combo, and 2 fried shrimp with fries (all combos include: 1/2 pound shrimp, 1/2 pound clams, 1/2 pound mussels, 2 corn, 3 potatoes, 1 link of sausage, a a 2 sides of rice) [$270.41 total]. Most were medium spicy but my crew who usually loves extra spicy, complained of the spicy level. Shocking!! Initially, two of the staff checked on us but we were good. When we needed water refills, we had to flag them down. Other than that, everything was good. The portions were good, especially if you eat the rice, corn, and potatoes. Lol All eight people were satisfied.

Nice new but sorta down home Cajun cookery with all sorts of coastal seafood options, including a XXX combo special, that tastes as good as it sounds tantalizing! If you're sick of the of protocol and "properness" of eating with utensils and want to truly become one with your food before you devour it with your hands then this is the place! Perfectly balanced temperature and sound. Great place to have fun with your food and lay it all over the table if you want to (bibs and full table covers are provided)!

One of my best crab dinner experiences! My friend and I love crab. We eat it often and we enjoy trying new places that specialize in seafood. While searching for dinner spots on vacation we discovered this restaurant. We loved everything about our visit. The food was spectacular and the service was above and beyond. She ordered the Dungeness and I ordered the King. We tried three sauces (Cajun and garlic in unspiced, mild and medium) because we didn't know the spice level. Next time we know to get our food cooked in mild with a medium on the side. The sides were nice but we all know the crab is the star. We are excited that there are locations near where we live so we will definitely check those out.

Normally we come here to eat crab legs with the whole sha-bang sauce but wanted to eat something different since we know the crab legs is delicious lol. The person checking us in was okay. He seemed kind of irritated but he tried his best to get by. He didn't smile and was just monotone. Our server was really nice. We got the gumbo, fried catfish basket, fried sha-bang shrimp basket, crab fries, and eggs with the whole sha-bang sauce. Everything was really good. I thought I took a pic of my egg but I guess I didn't. The prices is reasonable and most of the time, the service is really good from start to finish but this time the start was rocky. We are looking forward to coming again.
