These were the best Scallops I've had in quite a number of years, amazing flavor and great presentation. The asparagus and potatoes were a great side. If you love scallops, try this dish, it's completely worth every penny.
We also tried the white miso salmon, which was quite good as well, although as I love scallops, I'd choose them over fish any day.
We had Mother's Day lunch at Fish. The food was excellent. Everybody was very happy with their dishes. The calamari appetizer was light and tender, with a delicious sauce and aioli. The mixed green salad with feta cheese and strawberrys was surprisingly great. It was ordered with seared ahi on the side which made it even better. 10/10 would order again. The crab cake benedict was a special and was also great. The Poke salad and day boat fish fry were also ordered and were good. l ordered the Pot de Creme with strawberry puree and berries that was going to be shared... this was a mistake, because after one bite I did not want to share. Tip: get your own - you will be much happier!
Service was very good. Coffee was refilled 4 times over the course of the meal and food came out right after the appetizer was finished and removed. Overall, it was a very successful Mother's Day lunch. (Photo is of the Calamari).
****** THE. BEST. OYSTERS. I. HAVE. EVER. HAD. IN. MY. LIFE! ****** I cannot overstate how absolutely delicious and meaty they were. I had the Bonita Beach from Washington State (the West side really is the best side when it comes to oysters IMHO). TOTALLY WORTH EVERY DOLLAR. Seriously. HUUUUGE!!!! And the description of them on the menu as rich and creamy is spot on. If you like oysters you will NOT regret getting these!!! (By the way, try eating the sea asparagus that they use as a garnish around the oysters--they are so yummy and crunchy and salty)! For my entrée, I had the seared divers scallops. Also THE. BEST. SCALLOPS. I .HAVE. EVER. HAD. IN. MY. LIFE! So perfectly cooked! Perfect texture, perfect temperature, perfect flavor. I will definitely be coming back here often! Hope to see you there!!!
The fish tacos we got were amazing, the fish was cooked really well, and flavor was great. The chicken dish we got was not good, to chewy and next to no flavor. But the waiter made sure to fix things for us when we drew attention to the bad dish. Service from the waiter was good, but getting the food was extremely slow, even though there were very few people there. Over all good experience, but they need to speed things up.
We've been to FISH 2 times and both have been fantastic! Great food, neat atmosphere especially when they open the roof once it get dark at night. Owners are fantastic and really make a point of coming around to say hello. FISH puts on great wine tasting and food pairing events. We had about 10 friends join us for one of the events and everyone loved it. I like the bar area where they have a large high top table. Great area to hang with friends.
I have dined here 5 times now and have always had a great dining experience. The fish and seafood dishes are delicious and the risotto is superb. Nice crafted cocktails and a great wine list. The ambiance is beautiful at night with open air seating.
Lovely place with good food. Of course, they mostly serve fish, but I saw a Ceasar Salad on the menu as well.
While you wait for food you'll be served a couple of slices of bread (tip: toasted would be MUCH better because the bread is a bit chewy) with soft butter and salt. So good.
Service is reasonably quick and food is good. I wasn't expecting the fish in my tacos to be fried, but I liked it anyway. And if you don't like spicy food, always ask because spiciness is hidden everywhere (yes, even in my fish tacos!).
Just had lunch and it was fantastic. Great service and even better food. The lilikoi tea is light and perfectly sweetened. The fries are thin cut, lightly seasoned, and a great crisp to them. We had the grilled cheese and crab sandwich and the ahi sandwich. The grilled cheese was rich and flavorful. The ahi sandwich was a lovely balance between the fish and the pesto. Will definitely be coming back again.
We’ve been in Honolulu for 5 days and have eaten at some pretty fine restaurants, but this place was by far the best. Where do I begin?!? My scallop dinner was not under or over cooked. It was seared perfectly! The potato gratin was flawless and they were able to swap out the asparagus for a little brussel sprouts. The crab dip!!!! Real crab and the bread was lightly toasted with a hint of garlic butter. The calamari was tender with a side of lemon aioli that was to die for. I normally don’t eat calamari either, but sneaking a piece from my friend and I was blown away! Our server had a beautiful and friendly smile. A place where you feel welcomed! My other friend had the rosemary chicken that she said was tender but crispy and moist. I will definitely come back here to be blown away again! Great Job!!!!! Bravo!!!!
A little bit pricey but very delicious! All the food was wonderful, especially the fried oysters and scallops. I love the ambiance here and will come back for their happy hour too!
