I will sing praises to the beautiful people at the Hokulani Bake Shop. We ordered our wedding cake from them last year and this year for our anniversary we got the cupcake version of our wedding cake to celebrate. Needless to say this will be a tradition for as long as we can keep it up. Their minimalistic buttercream was the best for us and our guests. We ordered the guava and passion fruit cake with the cream cheese filling. In our opinion they are their best flavors. Their seasonal flavors are also amazing. For the best service call and order ahead.
Stopped by after an appointment in the area. The woman at the front was wonderful and so friendly! Husband and I decided to get six cupcakes to pick at and were amazed at the variety of unique flavors. I normally don't like frosting but I love that they don't pile it on and it was not overly sweet nor the cupcake itself was dry. Were definitely coming back because I'd love to use them for my birthday :) Mahalo for the treats!!

From the top left: vanilla cream (husband's favorite), ube (my favorite), funfetti (the sweetest out of all, but that was expected!)
From the bottom right: strawberry guava (not tart and super refreshing and subtle), shave ice (yum and fun), cookies and cream (more mocha-ish)
We gobbled these up in about two days. It refrigerated well and on the second day, we let it set to room temp before finishing them up. Love that they're not overly sweet, not dry, and not too big :) Husband wants to come back for the vanilla cream, so we'll be back!
Consistently solid cupcakes. My personal favorite is a tie between the strawberry guava and the lilikoi lemon.
Cake itself was dense and harder than I expected but frosting was flavourful and good. I normally don't like frosting and just scrape off to throw away because I don't like to eat tons of sugar but I ate all of the frosting andlikedthem! My choices were lilikoi and guava. Both good but I couldn't feel much authentic flavour from each fruit.
I am so happy with my experience with Hokulani Bake Shop! I placed a scheduled order with Bite Squad for my mom (I'm not local) and they went above and beyond to make it special! They included the sweetest note for my mom's birthday as well as cute birthday cupcake toppers. My mom said that they are absolutely delicious! Thanks for making it special & easy Hokulani!

These were the BEST cupcakes I have ever had! I honestly do not know how this place does not have 5 stars all around. I absolutely hate sweets because the sugar makes me physically ill and my teeth hurt...I DID NOT have that issue with these cupcakes! As you can see, we ate the ALL! When I walked in and saw the variety of flavors, I was overwhelmed 😂😂😂 Not my husband though. He immediately said, can we have 1 of every flavor! We ended up trying: salted caramel, orange dreamsickle, banana cheesecake ❤️😋💕, shaved ice, and sweet potato. Banana cheesecake was my ultimate favorite! I can see why Hokulani Bake Shop won Cupcake Wars!
Their cupcakes are soooo light, yet packed with so much flavor! The red velvet (filled) is sooooooooooo yummy! Strawberry guava is also good!
The REAL cupcakes taste wonderful.
I am a longtime fan of Hokulani Bakery and was shocked when my neighbor / best friend of 20 years received a cupcake that made him very ill. As it turns out it was not a cupcake it was a "realistic-looking"cupcake that was really a piece of soap. Being that it looked exactly like a cupcake and was packaged in a Hokulani box with a Bakery sticker. there was no warning saying not to eat this as it looked exactly like real cupcake. I just find the whole situation disappointing. They're real cupcakes are incredible and I highly recommend them. use caution when eating something labeled hokulani as it may be a piece of soap in disguise

It's got some awesome stuff but when I went in today it's didn't have much of anything left and it was only lunch and no one was even in the mall. Just a few people. I wanted to get a box full of cupcakes but was told it have to pre order and it would take a couple of days or three. The prices are high but I've tried them before and it is very tasty.
Frosting was very tasty and local flavors like guava and lilikoi a good concept. Maybe it was too late to purchase them at 6pm because the cupcakes were dry. Disappointing.
