My husband and I have ordered out here a few times and loved it every time! We finally made it over to sit down and it was great, the atmosphere was perfect! We were greeted by the owner who helped us decide, he is a great host and treats everyone like family! The food was amazing if you are thinking about going do it!

Nice Indian restaurant near Honolulu. The food was with good spice which we liked. Great service. Starters are good too. There are lot of vegetarian options. The garlic naan was tasty. The dishes are new and had a different good taste because of Nepali and Indian fusion. They had o it door, indoor and combo seating available as well. The restaurant is located in a neighborhood which had parking fees. The parking fees were not high. You can pay via credit card as you exit the lot. I will recommend to try out papad, pakora, garlic naan and vegetable biriyani.

It was our first time so we had a little bit of fun finding the entrance after looking for parking. We had nice table on the patio. Looked like there was only 1 server and she tried her best, if you're in a rush...go somewhere else. Food came out in a timely manner, didn't seem too long. I do agree that it's funny that a curry doesn't come with rice. Everything did taste good though. The medium heat level has a nice kick but still enjoyable!

Take this review with a grain of Himalayan salt, as Indian cuisine is among the cuisines I'm least familiar with. But for my first Indian meal in over a decade, this spot hit the spot. The menu was surprisingly diverse, at least to my trained eye, with so many dishes that I wanted to try. Being a spice wimp, I went with the Kathmandu Shrimp Chili in mild, with the requisite $2 bowl of Indian rice. My friend went with something much spicier. We also got the samosas and the nan bread basket to share. The samosas were crisp and fantastic, the green sauce tasty and spicy. My shrimp chili was very red, and definitely had a little kick, even for mild. The rice and the nan bread kept everything nicely under control. Having sampled maybe 1/20th of what this place has to offer, I'll be back, and now I have another place I'd gladly bring my vegetarian friends (though, probably, they already know all about it). Soft drinks are served in the can with a glass of ice. The Indian tea looked good, if you're into that sort of thing. Points for the charming rooftop cafe vibe, too, though this isn't the place for you if you require ice cold air conditioning.

All the food we had was delicious. The people were super nice. There were only 2 servers that evening and they were busy so the service was slow. We weren't in a hurry so it didn't bother me. It is BYOB. I recommend this place.

Totally and absolutely loved this place. Staff is friendly and fun, food is truly phenomenal, ambience feels like you're on the silk road somewhere, great seating choices, and prices are truly a terrific bargain. Our friends from Kazakhstan also marveled at the fine quality. (We were visiting from Seattle). No liquor, so we brought our own wine and beer. Corkage was $7, but the cost of the drinks would otherwise have easily doubled at any other restaurant and at least I knew what we liked to drink and were allowed to have it. The chef even threw in a free dessert! We recommend the fresh naan bread in 3 varieties and Himalayan platter to start; the Dal Tikka Makhani (lamb with lentils), butter chicken, and chicken curry were stand-outs. Fabulous, wonderful, can't list enough superlatives.

The staff is very nice and polite. Sitting place balcony was nice as you watch out the kids playing in the park. Even your kids can enjoy the park. We have been enjoying the food for the last many years.

Finally got around to trying this place after hearing many people sing it’s praises. First of all, these guys really need to update their online menu. When I tried to phone order some of their lunch special plates, I was told that some of the ones that I wanted to order are no longer available, and that naan no longer comes with the lunch special plate. Plus, all of the prices are out of date. But really, that was the only gripe. I got the lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken lunch combo plates. They each came with a plate of basmati rice and salad and a container of daal curry. They offer spice levels from 1-10. Since I didn’t want to be too cocky during my first visit, I went with a 3 for everything. That gave a little tingle, definitely will go with 5 next time. Each of the entrees were delicious. The daal curry was great as well. I got some naan on the side, no complaints with those either. The amount of food is very good for the price point. Overall, it’s a great Indian spot to hit up in Hawaii. I recommend it and I’ll be back.

Was such a great experience. Loved the food, the service was perfect, and the atmosphere made me feel like I was in a different world, far away from work; my normal worries. Will definitely go again to try other dishes. Highly recommend.

Being a Nepali restaurant, we went there primarily for Momos (Dumplings) after driving for 35 mins. They were on the menu too but we were told that the restaurant stopped making them. This lead us to decrease from 5 to 4 stars since Momo is traditionally a Nepali food item. Nevertheless, we ordered Kathmandu Chicken Chilli, Chicken Curry, Garlic Naan, Roti and Raita and everything to be extremely delicious. We did find raita a little bit overpriced though at $6 but everything else was fine.
