Been driving past this place for a while and final had a chance to try it out for lunch. It was a good decision. The food and service was very good. Although their theme is for grill it your self at your table, yakiniku style, they have lots of other Korean classic dishes for those who prefer their entrée already prepared. That's was we did. Ordered the Gokbop, which was a spice soup and the Galbi Tang, a mild savory broth soup. Both were very good. For an appetizer we ordered the Haemul Pa Jeon, which is a seafood pancake and it was prepared perfectly. The service was very attentive and almost to attentive as I felt like the servers were hovering around us a bit to much, but it was better then being ignored and they were very friendly and egger to ensure we were taken care of. We did dine early for lunch, just after 11am which might be a good time to go as be the time we were finishing up, it was starting to get rather busy and noisy. They have a big parking lot with a valet, so it is a good guess that they can get packed during prime eating times.

The food is very authentic Korean. Not overly seasoned but just right. The meat dishes are cooked at the table and because of their venting system you don't smell the charcoal. I found the whole experience refreshing.

Tasty but expensive. Lots of different dishes - same name, unique presentation and taste. Went for the pajun but that turned out to be bland. Kalbi was delicious, though! Good service, friendly staff. I dropped my metal chopstick and before I even had it back on the table someone had replaced it.

My wife and I have been to a number of Asian restaurants in town and we have tended to feel unwanted (sat in the way back or off in some forgotten corner). That feeling changed greatly when we walked into Budnamujip. We were greeted very nicely and seated right along the other guests. Some of the wait staff had limited but working English and we had no Korean language skills but that did not deter them from providing great service. The food was different than we are used to but good nonetheless. I had a soup that was recommend by the waitress (reminded me of oxtail soup) and my wife had a rice and veggies with an egg on top which we expected to be hot but turned out was served cold. Like I said just different but we liked it. Overall we really enjoyed the dinner change of pace and we were really happy with the extraordinarily friendly staff. We were thanked and waved to by at least 4 different people on our way out. We will return.

Super sweet service. I stopped by after work tonight not realizing how late it was and they treated me like they had just opened. Food was good and I was surprised it was cooked over charcoal instead of gas. I wish I had come by earlier and got to really enjoy the food but I ate real fast and split. I'll definitely come back when I have time. THANK YOU, I really do appreciate the service.

Probably the most high class/fancy Korean Restaurant you'll go to. The food is very expensive but very delicious. The Kalbi tang (Beef stew) is pretty much perfection, the soup is very flavorful and the beef is so tender it pretty much falls right off the bone. I wish the portions would be bigger but everything is delicious.

For those who've never eaten at restaurants like this, you simply have to try it. It is rather pricey, but so worth it. The meat comes out looking marbled like prime cuts, and the cooking is done by the staff. Did I mention that the meat (in our case, short ribs, and a cut they call chu mool luk) is cooked over special charcoal? What a great surprise! Tender, tasty, and then they provide you with a couple of dipping sauces! Brok da mout folks! We also sampled their signature kalbi-tang, hong oh hae (seasoned sting-ray) and their seafood pancake (Pindeto?). Along with the usual assortment of ban-chan (Koreans love to assault you with an assortment of flavored side dishes), when the rice came, we didn't need any! They also have Wagyu beef available, but their regular cuts are more than tasty and tender, but if you must... Having a Korean speaker in our group made an obvious difference. An yong! ^.^
