Made an advance phone order and very much enjoyed our nourishing meals here. Tried the tempeh katsu curry which was so satisfying, filling, and full of textures and flavors. The peace plate had lots of fresh colorful veggies but I couldn't help wanting a more substantial protein on there besides hummus, although everything was delicious. Looking forward to coming back and trying more things like their raw vegan cheesecake :)

We love Peace Cafe. 100% vegan (and no sugar). They periodically have specials but we love the Hanoi sandwich, tofu katsu curry and BBQ tofu (or tempeh). Nice salads and desserts too!

Really great vibe to this place with delicious food. Lots of great options here. We got the curry katsu plate. It was delicious. The curry itself was wonderful and we appreciated all the veggies. The tofu katsu was a bit too deep fried for me, but the meal was very good overall.

Vegan restaurant, clean, fresh, healthy food. Environmentally friendly! I had the Popeye sandwich and the black sesame kinako latte! Very tasty!

TASTY and healthy vegan food! Fresh and dynamic flavors. Great range of options. Very kind staff and chef! We visited 3 times during our vacation 🌈 Been vegan/plant based for years and this is one of the better options in Honolulu! Would save more pix but we ate too fast 🤭❤️

Let me start by saying I am not vegan, my best friend is. I had the BBQ Tempeh and she had the Katsu. Both excellent meals. The portions are on point!!!! I was completely stuffed and had to take some home. I highly recommend this place to those vegan and non vegans folk. The girl who was working there was rocking the front and the kitchen, major props to her for keeping a kind face and taking care of everyone.

I can’t get enough of this place! Such amazing flavors and all whole foods! I’m not a junk food vegan, so really appreciate the commitment to healthier foods, but not at the expense of taste. Lots of gluten free options, all free of refined sugars, and the Moroccan chickpea dish is oil free. Sometimes there are oil free mochi too. All staff are super kind, patient and helpful. I only wish there were more seating options (it can get a little filled up at lunch.) The area isn’t the most desirable, so you probably won’t want to picnic in the park. Street parking has never been a problem.

Very delicious vegan food. Portions are generous, you won’t feel hungry after your meal. We got the Katsu don which was nice and crispy and the peace plate. They have a lot of dishes to chose from, sandwiches and desserts too. Staff is super friendly. You cannot sit inside to eat. They have an outside bench.

I came to Peace Cafe on a whim for my last meal in Hawaii before hopping on a plane back to the mainland United States, and wow...I truly could not have asked for a better final meal on the island! Peace Cafe offered some of the best vegan comfort food I've ever had, drawing from Korean, Japanese, Moroccan, Mexican, and American cuisines to provide uniquely delicious dishes at a really reasonable price. While the takeout-only operations took away a bit of the experience, I was honestly just so grateful that Peace Cafe was still open during the pandemic and that I was able to try out their amazing dishes! I opted for their katsu plate with tempeh, and it was absolutely incredible -- the breading on the katsu was delightfully crispy, and the tempeh was remarkably flavorful. The katsu sauce was also amazing -- it had the most delightful curry flavor, and I honestly wish that I could just buy a giant bottle of this and put it on everything I eat. Between the black and brown rice and massive tempeh cutlet, the plate was incredibly filling, so I was really grateful for the little side salad and mixed greens to lighten up the meal. My friend tried out their katsu plate with tofu, so I had the opportunity to do a little side-by-side comparison of the tofu and tempeh -- both are absolutely delightful, but I, personally, thought that the texture of the tempeh paired a bit better with the rest of the plate. The tofu was softer and a bit more watery, but if you aren't the biggest fan of tempeh (or are just looking for something with a softer consistency), the tofu is a really solid choice. One of my other friends tried out their heart and Seoul, and also loved their vegan take on traditional Korean flavors. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu, and I can't wait to find my way to Hawaii again to try out some of their other dishes!
