Nice little food stop for Korean food think Panda Express but for Korean. Big portion definitely enough for 2 people on 1 plate. Not a lot of info on the sides so I include pics of them.
Kay Vea & I tried out this joint as it across the road from where our accomodation was. True to the previous reviews it doesn’t look like much from the outside decor wise. We ordered 3 meals for dinner. A combination Bbq ribs & chicken, a combination bbq ribs & beef & fried squid. All 3 meals came with 4 sides each. The price for the meals were quite decent. We were lucky we got our order in & got a table when we did as it quickly got real busy for the little joint soon after. Our meals came out in a timely fashion.
The ribs & Chicken were beautiful and went well with the accompanied rice, mac, broccoli & chop suey like noodles chosen as side dishes. The beef & fried squid were a let down and was the only disappointing aspects of dinner. Would recommend & happy to return again if ever in the area. Mahalo!
Great food, large portions, good price, and quick & friendly service! Would definitely come back again! We ordered the kalbi beef and BBQ chicken combo and it was amazing, also came with four sides!
I ordered the stir fry chicken it was just okay. My other half ordered the bbq chicken which he said was average. Like other reviewers the lady taking orders isn't very friendly or helpful. You do get large portion of food for the money. Doubt I will return. Building pretty run down. The selection of sides was just ok.
We ordered #1 - beef ribs dinner. For $14.75, it comes with three full strip of ribs, four sides and two scoops of rice. Ample of food for two people. Excellent quality, ribs were cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. There is a great variety of sides to choose from, we went with broccoli, mac salad, clear noodles, they also have pickled cucumbers, kimchi, tofu among others.
Delicious kalbi and bbq chicken. Generous portions and a range of sides. Best hole in the wall restaurant in Waikiki and fast service. Expect a line.
Cheap & fast take away place. We came here just before it closed and ordered the kal bi bbq & bbq chicken with the 4 sides & rice & came out fast. I highly recommend ordering the kal bi bbq! Wish we just ordered that because it definitely stole the spotlight over the chicken. The portion size was enough for two, so if you don't eat much it is best you share. There is an outdoor eating area but it closes by 9pm.
Hole in the wall, cash only. Nice place, plenty of food. Outdoor seating. Busy the whole time we were here. Worth a stop if you are on the area. No parking, definitely a walk in type of thing.
Stopped by Me's for lunch. We ordered the Sunny's Special: meat jun, kalbi rib, 2 gyoza and bbq chicken with rice and 4 sides and the Gyoza special with rice and 4 sides. Everything was quick and plentiful. The food was pretty good and by far the best value we found in Waikiki.
Tastiest Korean bbq food in Waikiki . Very low key, hole in the wall ands must place to visit. We had to come back twice. Wish we had this in Sydney.
Amazing Korean food! Hands down one of the best meals we had in Oahu. No frills, just a small eatery with a few outdoor tables. Portions are huge and you get a great variety. We ordered #15 and #38 and both were packed with meat and delicious sides. Highly recommend!
This is a mom and pop styled place with fusion dishes like Japanese chicken katsu or Hawaiian BBQ chicken or breakfast spam and eggs. Service was straightforward and prompt - local ambience. Would return
Beyond delicious. Tasted just like authentic galbi from Korea (I had #1). My husband who’s a Caucasian loved it so much he stole half of my dish and finished his (#38)!
I chose No. 38 (chicken & beef combo) and it came in a big portion and tasty. Mainly was meat not rice or sth else so it definitely filled my stomach.
However, I waited for the food for a while. There was a sign in the stall asking customers to wait outside so I complied. I expected the seller would call each customer's number when the food was ready but it did not happen. I just had to randomly walk inside the stall to check if the food was ready yet. So would be much better if the seller has more service mind.
The other thing is they encourage customers to pay by cash. If you wanna use credit card, there will be 4% surcharge!!!
My partner and I had just arrived in Honolulu and needed some hot and delicious food ASAP. A quick search showed me this place and based off the reviews, I knew this would be good. I wasn't disappointed, the meat jun was spectacular and my partner's bar-b-q chicken was very tasty, too. Portions are LARGE, totally could have shared but we ate every bite.
Massive amounts of tasty food for $12-$20 price range and breakfast about 7-8 dollars.
The lines tend to get crazy at peak times, but after tasting their food I don’t mind waiting!
I love their Man Doo Kook Soo soup, also they make amazing kimchi.
The gentleman helping at the register is polite and helpful.
I’ve visited to this BBQ place couple of times and every time was satisfied!
Ate there 5 nights #1 BBQ Korean ribs. Quick and definitely delicious!! A variety of other Korean dishes but I was hooked on the BBQ ribs with 4 sides!

My friend swears by the chicken katsu at this tiny Korean joint. Large portions, well-prepared, efficient service. Good choice for a quick lunch or dinner from a local business in Waikīkī. Pretty much to-go only, no inside seating, very limited outside seating.
I ordered the Bibim guksu with a side of chicken. The Bibim guksu was absolutely amazing! I’d been craving it for a while and it hit the spot. It was spicy, flavorful, and just perfect. It’s also cold so when it’s hot out it feels so good. I’m definitely going to order it again. Also the chicken was flavorful and the portions were massive, even though it was a side order.
Despite being insanely busy, they were quick to get everyone’s orders out. Love this place. Next time I’m in Honolulu I’m coming back!
Excellent food, crazy service. One of the best plate lunch in Waikiki. I recommend the #38. But watch out for the lady who works there. You know how Seinfeld had an episode about a Soup Nazi? Well this lady is just like that. You better know exactly what you want or she'll get upset and give up on you and then she'll serve the next person in line instead. No plate lunch for you, one year! The most important thing to know is what 4 side items you want with your meal. Don't even try to tell her just 1 of your 4 choices while you hum and huh about the rest. She won't even begin to scoop that macaroni salad you just told her you wanted until you tell her all of the items you want. She'll just stand there staring at you saying "and then? And Then? AND THEN?!". You need to study up and be prepared before you walk into this place. But the food is great!
