Today I made it visit this famous coffee bakery. The pastry was amazing probably the best scones and original flavor croissants I've ever had not only in Hawaii. Very crispy and light...Really good tho pricey. The coffee is nice too even tho not that outstanding as expected but the pastry wins all!
We got here around 8 am and the line was out the door and all the way to the Hilton Vacations timeshare desk. Definitely be prepared for a wait. Pastries are a must try and they change throughout the day. Super fresh. The ham and cheese croissant was warmed up for us and delicious. If there is cheese and ham, there will always be some grease but it is not too much. The croissant is buttery

However, the Viennoiserie section at James Beard b. patisserie is excellent.

This Kona Coffee location with the patisserie is outstanding! The pastries are amazing, and if you like Hawaiian coffee they do a terrific job. They have a small selection of really good sandwiches from 10am-2pm. The lines were always long but the staff were pleasant and efficient.
