In search of a satisfying poke stop near our hotel, we stumbled upon Poke Bar, a highly-rated local favorite that intrigued us with its rave reviews.
Poke Bar's approach offers a comforting familiarity, particularly for those who hail from metropolitan areas in the US, where poke eateries are becoming increasingly popular. The establishment provides an array of choices, presenting an array of fish options and toppings akin to what one might find in mainland poke spots.
While some may argue that the most authentic Hawaiian poke places center their attention on the quality of the fish rather than the accompaniments, Poke Bar skillfully balances both aspects, ensuring that the quality and freshness of the seafood are not overshadowed by the variety of available extras.
I opted for the 3 Fish Combo Bowls, which proved to be an indulgent feast. While these bowls may not strictly adhere to the traditional blueprint of Hawaiian poke, they encapsulate all the quintessential characteristics that make poke bowls so adored - freshness, versatility, and flavor. Each bowl was brimming with freshness and the ingredients were harmoniously combined, satisfying our poke cravings.
Overall, Poke Bar provides a good poke experience that's a blend of the familiar and the exotic, making it a great destination for any poke lover in town.

Stopped by for lunch and took a poke to go. I tried the salmon and tuna poke with the house sauce.
Everything was really tasty and I preferred this place vs the other one nearby that offers fried chicken as a topping.
The combination was great and everything tasted very fresh 😋👍. Would definitely come back again for more delicious poke.

A similar way of ordering to Subway restaurants. You can choose several toppings.
The ingredients there were very fresh and well seasoned.
If you come to Hawaii, I recommend you to experience it at least once.

Fresh seafood at its best, hubby had the 3 fish combo with tuna, salmon and scallops over greens/salad. Great fresh and healthy meal to start eating our way through the island this week. We got it to go and it was a short 15 min walk back to Hilton Village.

Amazing attention to detail. I was flabbergasted. Once I mentioned that I had a sesame seed and sesame oil allergy, the staff was very specific about what I could choose and what I could not choose. They also double-checked items to make sure I could or could not eat it. I really appreciate the meticulous attention to detail, so rarely found anywhere. AND the food was delicious — fresh and tasty. We definitely want to come back here again.

Honest, down to earth and simple poké Bar dishing up super yummy grub at good value for money prices considering the location. I got a large box which had plentiful diversity, flavor and plenty of greens with fresh and vibrant tasting Spicy Ahi, Fresh Ahi and Octopus, tasted awesome and a rad dining experience. There is optimal seating outside for you to chow down underneath the beautiful tiki fire toches on an evening with a great vibe around this area.
I wish they had some Gochujang or alternatives hot sauces without Mayo, also gave you the option for two premium toppings so you can get Wakame Seaweed and Miso Crab. My friend also got tofu which was so basic, no seasoning and relies on dressing, surely should be cheaper than if you were to get any of the fresh fish poke scoops.

This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant was outstanding! The fish was so unbelievably fresh (sourced from the local fish market). It is sort of like a Chipotle, but for Poké! The staff was friendly and kind! The variety is unmatched!
