Southern Smoke Bbq

I like to stop and eat at BBQ joints when ever I travel. Stopped here for lunch. Place was clean and staff were friendly. Wife got a cheeseburger and fries. She said it was very good. I got the pulled pork with sides of sweet potato fries and brunswick stew. BBQ looked to be finely chopped not pulled which is not a concern to me. However...while the Q was very moist, it was overly sweet like it had been sauced with a lot of sugar. Added some of the BBQ sauce labeled Sweet ( they had sweet, hot and a third bottle that was not labeled ) which seemed to cut down on the sweetness of the Q, still too sweet though. My question is...the place says on their menu "Home of the No Sauce Needed BBQ"....so why to they have sauces on the tables ? The sweet potato fries were very good. The real surprise to me was the Brunswick stew. It had a very smokey taste that made it some of the best I have ever had. If I come back here I would get the brunswick stew over the Q. Prices were decent and portions in line with other places I have eaten at.

The food was pretty decent the appetizers are huge. Beware of chop chicken it gets hotter. Only problem we had today was the 20 piece wings that we ordered the wings were so hard they were inedible after I brought this to the waitress attention she went and spoke with the manager or owner and he said it's just the luck of the wing I say that is unacceptable there is no luck of the wing and even after telling them that we were unable to eat them we were still made to pay almost $20 for wings that we were unable to eat. The pepper jack mac and cheese was also severely overcooked it tasted like mush with no flavor just Bland. The service need some help as well we sat there at least 5 minutes without drinks whenever we needed the waitress would have to look for her who is over in the back corner chit-chatting as a consumer I will not be back nor will I recommend this place to anyone which explains a lot because at the height of the lunch. There are only two cars in the parking lot.

I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The dishes they serve are great and the team is welcoming and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we have a cheerful time. warmly recommended.
