Simply the best cake around. The flavor is so unique and delicious!!! They also have an 1/8th of a sheet cake -- perfect for those anniversary nights or pregnancy cravings where you do not quite need a whole cake :-)

I ordered petit fours from here because historically they have been perfect. However, these were dry. They were not good and we didn't finish them. The artistry was lovely-beautiful dogwood flowers as advertised, but looks aren't everything, especially in food. Will likely look for another bakery next time.

Disappointed, seemed more about selling merchandise than bakery items. Staff not friendly and food not good and very expensive! Sorry to write this review, usually don't post anything unless experience was good.

I was so discouraged by the lack of customer service that Savages has portrayed over the past few years. The most recent event that I saw was so disturbing that I will not be back as well as anyone I know that knows of this event. I saw a toddler get choked on water and spit up on the floor. The mother/grandmother was helping the child and one of the ladies behind the counter threw a rag at the woman and told her to clean it up. I have never seen something so horrendous and disrespectful in the food industry and could not believe that the kind lady actually cleaned it up. It was beyond disrespectful and also goes against every protocol that the food industry is required to do. I hope that Savages can get some control over their small business in such a special community and pay attention to the importance of food industry protocols and customer service.

I believe that there is a downtown Homewood trifecta - Savage's Bakery, O'carr's Restaurant, and O'Henry's Coffee Shop. At Savage's I highly recommend the sugar cookies and the fudge drops. Both are delicious! I'm sure everything else is good, too, but those are my favorite.

Simply PERFECTION! At Savage's Bakery I feel as if I'm stepping back in time to an old fashioned bakery where the staff is still so friendly and the goodies are all freshly made and are certainly to die for! I live 70 miles away, but I will make the long drive to Savage's often because I cannot find another bakery other than Savage's that still makes a "true" petit four...and theirs are deelish!! They make every type of cookie, cake, muffin, bread and pastry that you can imagine and more. Try their authentic petit fours, cheese straws and the french pastries. I simply LOVE this place! 🍰🍩🍪

I ordered a cake 2 weeks in advance from another bakery. They called me the afternoon before the party to say they couldn’t make it. A co-worker suggested Savage’s so i gave them a call. They are absolutely amazing and so accomidating. I explained what happened and they had this cake ready for pick up that day. The cake was delcious and decorated perfectly. I will be getting all my cakes from them from now on!

I Grew Up in Homewood. My family has been going to Savages Bakery, forever. It was a Delight to come back home, and walk through Savages Famous Doors and smell the familiar smells of baked goodies of childhood... That is where it Ended. I bought some iced cookies. They were completely Disgusting. Inedible. I returned two days later giving the place a second chance, No Luck with the bear claws. Sorry Savages, I will not be back. 💔 Peace 💚✌️🌻
