Live To Ride Ride To Eat
+5
We stumbled upon this incredible spot by accident while on a ride to an amazing BBQ place on Easter Sunday last year in Homestead. The BBQ place was closed unexpectedly, so we kept riding until we saw a glimmer of light from a window as we passed by a yellow building that looked closed. Being curious we turned around and checked it out. The place was surrounded by cinder block walls and looked to be under construction. Well what we found was truly unexpected. One of the nicest Authentic Mexican Restaurants I have ever been to. The owner is from Mexico and has the same place in Mexico, the inside is made with all wood beems and doors from old barns in Mexico he also manufactures Mexican pottery in Mexico and has tons for sale right on the grounds. With Coy ponds and an outside stage for entertainment, this place that is under partial construction has some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. We ride over an hour to get there and the Tortilla Soup is worth the drive alone among other dishes.
I was referred by a friend and I was delighted. We visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening there was no problem finding a parking space. We were seated right away. They took a little while to serve the best sangria I had ever had. But the guitarist made up for it. He was enchanting great voice and the romantic songs brought fund memories of my youth. His improvisations were beautiful he had something pleasant for every one in the audience from my 92 year old mother to the children siting in the next table. He was marvellous. The appetizers were great and the Molcajete salsa made in front of us to our specifications was out of this world. We shared the Big Parrillada Plate and it was plenty, excellent flavour, tender, juicy meats and seafood. It stayed warm in the big metallic basket that they bring to the table all the time it took us to eat and eat and eat, even as I packed the leftovers it was still warm. The place still under construction, it has great potential, so I used my imagination a little and enjoyed the décor, the food, the drinks the family atmosphere and specially the music. Great job putting it all together. Congratulations, I can't wait to go back.
Dont exagerate Please. I love the fresh salsa that they make at your table
we been eating in this place since last year
theres a thing that people dont realize
when you go to a restaurant that makes fresh food
it takes more time than fast food(Mac Donalds, KFC etc.)
if you have time to eat good and fresh go here
but if you are a desperate customer
that wants their food in seconds please dont come here or you be
waiting and writing bad reviews.
If you have between 10 to 20 minutes to wait to eat fresh
then this is your Mexican restaurant
Husband surprised me by taking me for early dinner. The food was awesome, best Mexican food Ive had in Miami area. Prices are not bad, service from our waitress was the best!! Even had a gentleman sing us 2 songs with his guitar!! Very special place!! Need to make the building more noticable, weve passed this place many times....
Food is worth it. The service is a joke to say the least, however, the food is so worth it! Don't go there on a timed lunch though... You'll never make it back in time.
1st time. Salsa made to order at your table. The best salsa I've ever had. Guacamole was incredible as well. Dinner took some time to get out but everything was just great. When I need Mexican food I'll be there.
I cannot believe I pass by here every month and had not stopped by. This place is awesome! Fresh in your table made salsa, to die for! You have to try it...have a margarita on the rocks and you will be very happy.
Great Mexican Food. A friend recommended this restaurant and we decided to try it for lunch despite some negative reviews. I am glad we did. The service was good-no long wait . The food was excellent. The hand made salsa was great and the guacamole was the best i've ever had. My wife had the vegetarian fajitas with corn tortillas and I had the steak a la Mexican-everything was first rate-the best Mexican food we've had in a long time. The price was very reasonable. We will certainly be returning.
Wow, The Salsa!. Did not get a waiter to come by for ten minutes; we had to alert the manager because somehow nobody had been assigned to our table. So, not a good first impression and we were ready to leave. But decided to stay because the waiter assured us it would be fast service from then on. Once he brought chips, prepared salsa in front of us with fresh ingredients, and we tasted it, the initial impression was completely forgotten. I mean, the salsa was that good!!! I don't drink, but my wife had a margarita that she said kicked ass. The food was ready within 15 minutes and it was made from fresh and excellent tasting ingredients. So, will be going back for the food. The service was very good once we were assigned a waiter.
Ate here yesterday...a truly hidden gem.
My daughter's loved the salsa that was freshly made at the table. That's a great touch to the dining experience. The food was tasty and authentic Mexican. We will be back again soon.
Completely blown away. What an amazing place. Everything was deliscious. I have driven through the place millions of times and I would think there was nothing. But my sister took me for my birthday and I was amazed with how beautiful the place is.they make the salsa for chips in front of you from fresh ingredients and everything tastes so good. I recommend the nachos as appetizers. So deliscious. Try to go on sat. And sundays the man that sings mariachi is there and he is so nice and sings so amazing. Highly recommend will visit again.
Visited for the first time for a friends engagement party. The food and sevice were great. Maybe because of covid and the fact that it was closed for a few months there is significant lack of maintenance to the grounds and building. Overall I would visit again.
