Kannery Grill

First off, hats off to KG for being open when literally every other restaurant was either packed busy or closed on a Wednesday night. The wait time was long but we were happy to be seated. That being said, restaurant was at half capacity and probably low staffed. The crab legs and smoked salmon and artichoke dip were bomb. The halibut and crab cakes and most of the accompanying sides were underwhelming and plain. Friendly service however and great views of the water. Overall, prices are a little much for what you get. I would recommend checking them out if you have a week or more stay in Homer.

After a long day of fishing and most everything else closed at 8:00 pm, we found KG and yum! I had the cheeseburger and decadent chocolate molten lava cake. The burger was juicy and perfectly medium-rare. My fries were wonderfully crunchy yet tender. Not greasy at all. My husband had Rockfish, bread pudding a la mode, also fabulous! The prices are reasonable, and the service was excellent. We felt guilty for being the last customers, but our amiable server assured us that we could take our time and enjoy our delicious and beautiful desserts.

PSA: this is NOT The Kannery, it is now a different restaurant called The Green Can. Food is Asian fusion ish stylewith a few typical American type dishes. Pros: We ordered the short rib dumplings, that were very good. House made sauce was awesome and our waitress was SUPER friendly and explained the whole menu to us. Place is beautiful and definitely would be a great spot for a date night. Cons: On the pricey side. The sign up front just says ‘craft Cocktails and food, thought it was a motel restaurant at first, confusing.
