Busy morning for memorial day weekend. We decided to dine at the bar and they were quick. Each worker didn't stop working and were friendly. I had the Deckload meal. Eggs were perfect. Sauce was had enough seasoning and it went perfectly w the side of two sausage links. Yum! Coffee was strong! I enjoyed the music playing in the background.

The service was great to start two young ladies where very helpful and nice. They must have gone on break when a young man took over he brought out the ticket to our table which we did not have any food yet and told us not to rush but he could cash us out. I told him we didn’t even have our lunch yet he shrugged and walked away. 10 minutes later a different server came out gave us the wrong food and at that point we ate and left.
The food is five star, the service not so much. The Burger though not what I ordered but close enough was great!

Visiting Homer on our Alaskan Tour and was looking for a place for breakfast before an excursion. Decided we'd give Duncan House Diner a try. We sat at the counter and chatted with the staff that was working. A fine group of teenagers that looked like they were having fun working there. Our food came quickly and was hot with generous portions. I think we'd still give 5 stars because of the staff and how much fun they were to talk to.
Really liked the décor and old food package they had on the shelves.
I don't think you could go wrong eating here...A definite asset to Homer, AK.

We were on our way out of town and didn’t want to hit any of the spots on the Spit. This place popped up and well worth the stop. Was craving a burger that clearly did not disappoint. The character of this place is really cool and sat next to a fellow Texan, Randy, who was cruising Alaska on his motorcycle. The cup of chili was delicious too. Don’t miss this spot.

I'm a pretty patient person especially as a former waitress. But Duncan house tipped me over the edge 30 plus minutes and no one came to take a drink order or food. Everyone around us got the order taken care of and served. My husband even went to try to order at the checkout counter. (20 min into it). Again I can understand that you are slammed or double sat or quadruple sat. But I don't understand why we were basically refused service.

Came in and was met with friendly faces, and amazing home style food!!! Loved the home touches, your coffee cups make you feel like your visiting good friends, as does the atmosphere. Definitely will be making this a regular stop when we come from anchorage. Thank for this experience
