Tazza Italian Ristorante

My wife had the brave notion of us taking our 3 young children to a real restaurant tonight and, with the help of Tazza, the night was a success! the evening began with a failed experience at Chili's (feel free to see my less than flattering review of said eatery). Ann (or Anne, sorry, i dont know the spelling) at Tazza was a remarkable server. She catered to our kids' needs, expedited requests, was kind... i couldn't be more effusive with praise for how great she was. it goes without saying that the food at Tazza was stellar - our oldest child who has always had a difficult pallet to work with tried, and LOVED, everything he had.... EVEN SALAD. for Tazza to offer food of that quality, in a classy restaurant, that is still family friendly, and Anne was an impeccable blend that made for a wonderful experience on a night that could have proved very difficult. thanks!

We ordered 2 glasses of Hahn chardonnay ($8.50 each)and they brought us something else. When we told our waitress it wasn't Hahn, she came back and said they had run out and this was a different brand. She offered us another "oaky" brand and we said ok. When the bill came they charged us $15 each for the 2 glasses of Sonoma. Very deceitful. This is the second and last time this has happened to us at Tazza's. Food is great, but tired of the bait and switch

My assumption is that we ordered the wrong dishes, the salmon dish was awful and the Tazzo veal dish was pretty much inedible. But they had a lot of carry out orders, so they must be doing something right. The salmon was extremely fishy, the skin side was down in the sauce making it nasty, the veggies were hard and the peppers so unevenly cut that they didn't cook right and were hard to eat, I had to.pick up the carrots to eat them, to hard to cut. The Tazzo veal was bland, overloaded with onions, the meat itself was perfectly cooked, just lacking in flavor. The waitress was very nice,but over worked. The place was clean and stylish. Drinks were way over priced, but delicious

I had a wonderful evening at Tazza. Beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious. The reason for the 3 stars is a few reasons. I ordered 3 glasses of wine. Each glass was barely filled. I know fancier places don't fill a glass up much but come on! It was pathetic how little they give you for the price your paying! Next the appetizers. We ordered about 6-7 appetizers and when you're paying $15 for each one I would have expected a little bit more food then what we received. 5 little asparagus on a plate?? Who's that gonna feed? A rabbit? Also we had a party of 15 people and only one waitress who was our waitress plus she was the waitress for another large party. She did ok but they obviously need more help at this place. Overall a decent experience but I probably won't return.
