Pho, one of my favorite Thai food dish. It's 95% thai taste.

Original review from January 2018: I ate here in person a year ago, and I didn't like it. Gave them a second chance today, and my feelings haven't changed at all. I believe they should focus in on the Thai end of their menu (as their name is Thai Basil) and ditch the Vietnamese and Chinese menu, because they're not very good at any of the above. With both my visit a year ago, and my takeout order today, everyone else I was with seemed to have the same negative feelings. Edit: Downgrading my review from 2/5 Stars to 1/5 Stars. My employer ordered the whole office food from Thai Basil this week (July 2018). Despite my past feelings of this place, free lunch is free lunch. Unfortunately it was just as terrible as ever. One thing many reviews like about this place is the diversity of the menu, diversity isn't a good thing when they've not mastered a single thing on their menu. I will never be eating here again, even if the food is free.

It's a nice place that seems promising when you walk in, but my curry was rather bland, and my request to make it spicy was met by just sprinkling some dried red pepper flakes on top. My vegetarian friend ordered a Tofu dish, and it had tofu AND chicken in it, and they didn't really apologize or comp his meal. I'd probably give it 3 stars for being average, but the chicken in the tofu dish showed a lack of careful food prep.

The best Mongolian beef and egg drop soup! I came here on a Tuesday night, 40 minutes before closing, with every intent on leaving no later than closing time. I acknowledged the time to the lady who was waiting tables, so she knew I was aware of their closing time and that I didn’t plan to be ‘that person’. She was incredibly gracious towards me, making sure I knew I didn’t have to expedite. She said ‘You don’t have to rush, I want you to enjoy your dinner. There is no hurry.’ I wound up leaving by closing time, but with a calm around me, feeling satisfied because I was able to enjoy this delicious meal and take the right amount of leftovers, not stuffed from rushing my meal. Wish I would have gotten her name. Thank you! My visit was 9/11/18 at 820 pm. Cashier 3 on my receipt. Their Atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Prices are good, restaurant is comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!

A little bit pricey compared to other Thai restaurants. The drunken noodle (with beef) is exceptional and isn't too greasy like many out there. The pineapple curry was good too, I'd get it with beef or pork rather than chicken. Good service, friendly staff, and very clean.

Best Pho I've had, and I've tried many. My husband agrees and he is super picky. I won't have Pho anywhere else. Always lots of tasty beef in the soup and just excellent flavor. When I crave Pho - it's Thai Basil. Nothing else will suffice. Their fried rice is also amazing. Always a friendly smile, pleasant conversation and the best service from Jimmy and the rest of the crew. Thanks for everything guys! You're doing a great job!

Over the last few months of my pregnancy I've been seeking out every Thai restaurant and having their yellow curry with chicken I've had some really great experiences however this location of Thai Basil I will never be back to. I love other location was hoping with the same name I would get the same product. Even the description on the menu did not match what they brought me it didn't even taste like yellow curry, it tasted alright but had added ingredients and was not what I had my mind set on. I won't be back. I'll drive the extea 15 minutes to the other location.

Incredible food, kind and professional staff, fair prices and the #1 Vegetarian Pho in the Salt Lake Valley. My girlfriend and I have spent many dinner dates at Thai Basil and we are always impressed with the quality of food, service and staff. Some mention high prices but with the portions you receive you'll have enough for 2 days of dinner, especially the Pho. Thank you!!
