Buona - Hoffman Estates

Ariel, our cashier/waiter extraordinaire, was amazing & exceptionally friendly.  He & a few of his fellow staff members assisted creating my own personal dish by replacing the grilled chicken on their Caesars' Salad with 5-inch beef slices accompanied with BBQ sauce.  I suggest they call the new dish "Beef Caesars' Salad".  You're  welcome.  It was delicious. Plus, we had four folks in our party & the total cost of the meal was under $60 including taxes & tip.  This place is the best dining value in Hoffman Estates.  Good times.  We ordered: Buona beef Caesars' salad with BBQ sauce & lemonade. Buona, 5-inch beef sandwich with a side of Italian pasta salad, medium strawberry shake & bottled water. Buona, 7-inch beef sandwich with large strawberry shake & bottled water. Signature Rigatoni marinara pasta with bottled water.

I have to say, the burger and fries were excellent! The meat was juicey, the bun was warm and not 5 days old and the service was excellent. And no tipping! Compare this to the new Restoration Hardware restaurant that just opened in Oak Brook Mall 4 weeks ago and it's a no brainer where to go. Just look at the attached photo of a $20 burger, $9 potato and $4.50 ice-tea at Restoration Hardware (photo on the left). What a joke for $33.50 plus tip!!! The cost at Buona Beef was under $12.00 and the food was far better hands down (photo on the eight). Keep up the great work. And I appreciated that the restaurant was clean and quick. Congrats!

Not gluten friendly. They have gluten free bread that looks like pita bread. However I ordered it and got regular bread on two separate occasions. They did replace they it but if one didn’t know it was, you wouldn’t know. Please avoid if you have celiac as they are sloppy about using the right bread.

After moving away from Chicago land I wanted a good Italian beef and sausage... The place I used to eat lunch at once a week somehow managed to increase their cost... As well as the time it takes to make a sandwich and fries... And then on top of it decrease the actual quality.... It's really sad and a shame when such a good thing becomes more expensive, takes longer and is not the same quality as it had been for years and years
