The Cuban Restaurant And Bar

We took a chance and dined here for dinner on Sunday based on the 4 star plus review. It was an overall good experience but nothing exceptional. The staff was mediocre and could be a bit more welcoming. We dined outside which was nice given the accommodating weather. The outdoor ambiance was upbeat but it’s on the sidewalk so there are passerbys while you dine. Food and drinks were also mediocre. The salmon was a bit over cooked. However, the sweet potatoes mash which accompanied the salmon was tasty. The paella was nothing special and the rice or grain that it came with was not enjoyable at all. We left most of it in the plate. The chicken criollo was tasty and the best of the three meals. Mojitos were also basic and nothing exceptional. This restaurant has potential with a few minor adjustments. Our waiter was MIA after taking the order. We were offered additional chips for the guacamole and ceviche. There was no follow-up to this until we reminded the bus boy. Guacamole and ceviche can use some more flavor as well. Ceviche is a bit sweet as well.

Second time visiting here and i enjoyed the food yet again! If i remember right, i got the Churrasco before and it was delicious! This time I tried the Vaca frita and it was flavorful and filling! It was served with white rice and a side of black beans which you can drizzle on (the rice i mean). We got the Caesar salad with chicken on the side and the Pollo Criollo. That Pollo was sooo good! There was really good flavor on the meat and paired with fried rice..mmmm! It is a bit pricey but since we quite enjoyed the food and even the service, we'll let that one slide for now lol

The food was delicious. Had the grilled pulpo, guacamole w/ crab, filet mignon, fried yuca and yellow plantains. The only thing I didn't love was the mojo sauce... it needed more garlic🤷🏻‍♀️ I think🤔 there was something off. The drinks/mojitos were good. Had like 3 when I begun to get a buzz lol. I wasn't to happy with the front atmosphere as I was on a date, I whish I would've known about the back area which is a little bit more secluded and the lights are dimmer lights... definitely more romantic. I felt like everyone was listening to my conversation while sitting in the front area.
