The review I had here before was misplaced. Here is the resounding yes to Bluestone Lane Hoboken Cafe:
On my whimsical stay across the Hudson river I was desperate for a good coffee and Bluestone showed up on my search.
Coffee I got - food was excellent. Great staff, and this restaurant gets my full throated endorsement.
Cheers.

tldr: don't go here!!!
(Invest all that extra cash or better, eat anywhere else)
I am going to be detailed about my assessment of this place. The ambience and location are 5/5
Coffee 5/5 ( I got a flat white). I wanted to get breakfast and coffee and possibly work here.
They charged me $20 for a veggie breakfast which was just a GF bread topped with smashed avocados, eggs, spinach, heirloom tomatoes and mushroom. I am up for paying $20 if the food is worth that. The whole dish was hastily put together ( this was not a rush hour).
They gave me a bread (no condiments, no butter, not toasted or grilled) just a plain bread and put a lot of spinach (not cut, wilted, stir-fried) just spinach directly out of a bag. The whole dish was not seasoned or spiced in any way. The scrambled eggs were definitely not fresh.
Please don't ever eat here but ya, try the coffees.

Not good. The poached egg is overcooked, the service is lame, tho due to lack of staff. The system requires visitors to give tips when ordering before getting the food and service, and it is a redflag. The only good thing is they have good plating.

2 lattes = 2 sad people
I love bluestone’s coffee, but really these coffees were really sad. I lived in Australia and I can tell you that they would never serve you a coffee looking like this. Mine looked horrible and was more of a cappuccino with the amount of foam it had compared to what a latte should be like.

This is my first time trying their Brunch after drinking their coffee for long time.
There a lot of seats outside that look nice and also very cute inside. The decor and decorative plant inside is beautiful. Clean and cozy.
We have to scan QR code, order and pay from our phone.
Coffee is not bad.
We had three dishes for two people, Avocado smash, B.L.A.T.E and warm chicken salad. Everything is good, fresh and healthy. Our favorite is Chicken salad.
It’s a nice place to hang out with friends, great food.

I’m not sure about the bad reviews regarding the food because we didn’t order food. My husband and I came down to visit and take some pictures with his camera 📷 and we wanted some ☕️ and found this gem. They offer substitute milk as well. We got an iced vanilla oat milk latte that was delicious!!! It was perfect we will definitely be back!!!

Cute little cafe. Avacado smash was amazing! And great coffee. Lot of healthy and vegetarian options. Nice music and great vibe overall. Eco friendly as well 👏🏻

We only had drinks and croissants but I’ve had food at the upper westside location and it was great. I so appreciate the healthy options this restaurant offers, the outdoor seating was nice, and once I figured out that I was supposed to order from my phone it was ok. We had a hibiscus iced tea and an americano (called something else on their menu) and croissants. The croissants were fine and would have been good with a few minutes in an oven to crisp them up. I hope to be back soon and order more food. My high rating during this particular visit was the absolute, genuine warmth and kindness from our server. It was hot out and we have a big, very old dog. We were surprised she made it the few blocks to the restaurant. The server brought her a big bowl of ice water and really lavished her with petting and kindness. It was so sweet. Really appreciated the warmth. Look forward to determining my favorite coffee item on their menu.
