Heard about this new food truck from a friend and decided to give it a try with my family. What a great time we had. The food was great and atmosphere was perfect, a real island feel. We order the fresh fish sandwich and fried shrimp tacos. Everything was AMAZING! Highly recommend this cute little dive.
Our family group was impressed by the fried shrimp basket and fresh-cut fries. Grilled fish tacos were good but marred by atypical fried flour tortillas; warmed corn tortillas generally superior. A traditional lime wedge with the tacos would also help. Looking forward to trying a fish sandwich next time; looks yummy in the pic here.
Not easy to see from the road, this food truck is a hidden gem. We had the shrimp tacos and the shrimp basket with fries, everything was top notch.
The tacos were probably the best one I ever had, everything was cooked to perfection.
It is a bit pricey, but totally worth it.
Oh my, the fried shrimp was so good and the shoestring fries were freshly cut, not frozen fries!! We started eating before I thought to take pictures, but for $16 you had a choice of 3 fish or shrimp tacos, 8 fried shrimp with fries or coleslaw, or a grouper sandwich (generous piece of fish) on a brioche bun, with fries or coleslaw. The quality of the food was A++, and the coating for the fried fish and shrimp was a light panko breading which seemed perfect. the crust stuck to the food without falling off after one bite. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Make sure you stop here before leaving town. Simple menu, wonderful people, amazing food! We ate at several highly rated places ($30-60 per person) for dinner and Mullets was our favorite meal out of all them. We liked it so much we went back again. I will be craving the tacos and fish sandwich.

We had the fried grouper sandwich and blackened grouper tacos. Both some of the best we’ve ever had. Seriously the best quick service seafood on the island right now.
Just understand it’s a food truck and seating is 100% outside. They have a great outdoor setup with tables, games, and great views. We came with 3 young kids and they had a great time. Only complaint it the bugs...mosquitos and flys were a little overwhelming. Bring some bug spray! Also, no onsite alcohol yet, but it’s coming...
Overall, great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for great, fresh seafood. Just remember it’s new and still working through some things as they grow. You won’t be disappointed!
The BEST grouper sandwich I have ever had and everything is fresh and homemade. Family owned and run and the people are second to none. It’s a very relaxed environment and if you’re there for dinner you can see a beautiful sunset over the marsh. Highly recommend and will be back!
Let me start by saying I would come back to HHI JUST for Mullets Food truck! We have eaten at several over priced eateries here and been less than wowed by the food. Mullet’s had food so good it will make you cry from joy. Can’t say enough good things- you just need to try it. I had the jerk chicken, plantains, and peas and rice. My husband had two fish tacos and the prettiest most perfect hand cut fries ever. Both came with some kind of sauce (got no clue what it is all I know is you could cover an old boot in it and it would taste good!) my husbands also came with a side of pineapple salsa that I stole- delicious!!! To top it off the service was good too. Trust me - if you are on HHI you need to make this your first stop!
My new favorite restaurant on the island! Scenic, rustic, and homey with excellent service. Everyone is so friendly and the food is to die for. Seriously, I haven't stopped thinking about their shrimp tacos for days!!
Honestly hands down one of the best places I've eaten at. I had a grouper sandwich and fries. The food wasn't just excellent but the environment too. All and all, Mullet's was a refreshing experience for someone out of town. It's one of a kind.
