Obviously, this isn’t a five-star restaurant with a dining experience but this is a true diner experience and second to none, very easy to come in, it’s cash only and the food is spectacular with no frills. It’s exactly what you want with very attentive, servers and easy, In-N-Out lunches or breakfast, I highly recommend. You’ll see the picture of the Ruben and burger, which were again fantastic.

This little place appears to be a popular local joint. NOTE THIS IS A CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT. It is a very small venue with mostly just counter space and a handful of 2-person table tops against the wall. When you walk in, you grab a paper menu and fill out your order and as you find you seat, your ticket will be handed to the cook to prepare your order. When your order is ready, they will call your name and if sitting at a table you will have to get up and have your food handed over the counter to you. I did have to grab my own utensils from the counter and ask for my coffee. That would probably be my only complaint is that process doesn’t seem too efficient but again it is a very small venue with not much room to maneuver. I got a traditional 2-egg breakfast over medium with grits and bacon. My brother got an egg sandwich with extra sausage and we shared an order of sausage gravy with toast. The food was good and filling. The signage in the place is pretty funny to read and after reading it, they probably don’t necessarily care whether they receive a good or bad review. In this case the food was very good and while a small venue, it has a great hometown local vibe that most people will enjoy. Update: came back next day for lunch and we got hamburgers. Probably one of the best if not the best hamburger I have ever eaten. Changing my review to 5 stars.

Stopped here after kayaking, and it was a great lunch! We were surprised by how small it was on the inside, but there were plenty of places to sit! I loved the small menu that you check off everything that you want! Food was out quickly, and the burger I got was phenomenal! We loved being able to watch the chef cook our meals. Really fun experience, we'll definitely stop in again!

We stopped at this place on a whim as we were headed back to the airport. It's very small counter service diner. I would guess it only holds about 15 to 20 people but the turnover is fast. The food was great! Reasonably priced for Hilton Head, and filling! Some of the best pancakes I've had in ages.

We loved Harold’s diner! We biked there from our hotel and ate breakfast and it was so yummy! The atmosphere and servers were awesome and we are already planning to come back tomorrow, Harold’s diner is a MUST GO.

First time on the island and first time at Harold’s. We will be back. Solid, no frills food and service and very reasonable prices. Think the locals agree - place was packed the whole time we were there. However, one recommendation to any future diners: come with thick skin and leave your Yankee’s stuff at home.

Had an amazing burger, fries, and shake today. Great no-frills diner reminiscent of the many I've eaten at in New England. Cash only. Grab the menu/order form on the wall inside the front door, fill it out, and hand it over. Prices very reasonable.

I absolutely love this place. It is like stepping back in time. The staff obviously takes pride in what they are preparing. You may find yourself doing dishes if you don't bring cash because they do not take any cards. lol I have had several items on the menue and all of them are great and the price is spot on. You can easily go a couple times a week. Closed on Sundays too.

Brunch Breakfast anytime! The Staff sang Happy Birthday to me on my Day. Linda and I split a Big Breakfast. The food is stupendous. The retro atmosphere is uncompromisingly something you will never forget! You'll make this a regular stop each time you vacation here! Keith Carey. (Psalm 51)
