Good pizza, good service and cold beer. Need I say more...ok I will. Great casual place to grab some NY style pizza after a hot day out at the beach.
There are certain things people do before running a half marathon, and one of those things is to carbo load the night before. We were preparing for the Rock’n’Roll Savannah Half Marathon and we were staying about 30 minutes away in Hilton Head, SC- one of our favorite cities. While there are plenty of Italian pasta bistros and restaurants, we were wanting something simple and fast. We found Fat Baby’s Pizza and Subs and decided on getting plates of pasta and bruschetta.

We ordered the pepperoni, garlic, and basil pizza. Had enough to take back to our condo and devoured the rest during lunch the next day.
We will return for a pizza to go on our way back home!
Finally!!! I found a pizza on this island that I actually want to eat. The Py Pie is spot on for flavor and crust quality. Fresh garlic and basil with pepperoni on a thin crispy crust that is foldable....Boom! Drop the mic.
(Pick the mic back up). We also got an Italian hoagie that was good...
I'd have to say that this was what I was looking forward to most on the island. The pizza is some of the best anywhere, and the subs are loaded with meat and toppings. They have a great full bar and everyone there was great.
Had a margharita pizza and a sausage pizza tonight. Really good. Thin crust, not too crispy. Right amount of sauce. Great taste. Wicked good.
Good Pizza. Tried several pizza's while in the area and this was our favorite. Super nice staff and great service.
We got the pms pizza and garlic cheesy bread and enjoyed it! The sausage is huge slices which was delicious. Pizza was really greesy but that's to be expected I guess. Overall for $24 it was a great meal to eat while overlooking the ocean.
The spinach and shroom slice was great. A couple beers and good company from Dave, the maker if my pizza.
A real surprise!. This was a great pizza. We ordered the PMS pizza and it was awesome! Will definitely come here again!
Loved, loved, loved the pizza. Extra cheese was actually extra cheese. Definitely will visit when I'm in the area again. The service was great and love the fact that they made sure we enjoyed ourselves. Sadly, I left my to go box downstairs in the hotel lobby. I didn't realize it until I got ready to eat a slice. Went to breakdast the next morning and the box had it's own table. All I could was look at it...lol. I may have to plan another trip next month to get this pizza.
We didn’t eat in so can’t really rate the atmosphere but the pizza and mozzarella “balls” we really good. The mozzarella tasted homemade and was really crispy. Pizza could have used just another min or two in the oven and the marinara sauce container was half full but that could just be because of take out. We will definitely be back again to eat in this time!
We came here because one of our friends referred us. We are from Kansas City and when we walked in around 2 PM nobody was in the place except for 2 people at the bar. At 1st we were asking ourselves where is everyone? We spoke to Jennifer our server and she said it gets busy around 4 PM. We were actually lucky since we got good parking. The pizza was outstanding and my wife had a very healthy salad. It was one of the best firewood pizza's I've ever had and it was not burned at all. Outstanding food and service.
We had a short wait for a table, but our server, Amanda was very good. She was quick to greet us, bring our drinks, and put in our order. She was great with our kids, and she had an overall pleasant attitude. The food arrived nice and piping hot. The pizza was good, and our kids very happily ate. The owner came and checked to see if everything was going well. He took our 5 year old over to his computer to show him how they scan the fat baby coloring pages to be displayed on the screens around the restaurant. Very kid friendly and a good value.
We struggled with finding a place for dinner as we have had lackluster meals on vacation. We finally settled here because pizza sounded good and the reviews showed higher than another place we considered.
WOW. We are so happy we went here, we are planning a lunch and one more dinner before we drive back to Hellinois Saturday.
We had the chicken Alfredo (freaking absolutely the best and my favorite, the chicken is done right), lasagna (husband and daughter’s fav) and ordered a PMS Pizza. If you’ve ever been to Via Napoli in Epcot - where they fly the water, flour and ovens in from Italy- this pizza is similar but superior.
Thanks for the delicious meal and thanks for sharing those color pages on the screen so my husband and I could finally have conversations without our 6 year old interrupting us as as she was so intrigued watching them and coloring her own.
Their brushettas are phenomenal! We also tried the subs, chicken strips and pastas - all were outstanding!
Great spot for the whole family. In Hilton Head for the weekend and came for dinner with our two littles and my parents. My husband said his burger was great and we went home with leftover pizza for the next day. Good value & great location.
Winter visitors to the island and we always like to try a new pizza place. Had the Fat Baby dining in and it was delicious. Very flavourful and super cheesy. Good value too. Nice atmosphere with great service.
Tried the "Fat Baby" sub and a 14" pie with sausage and mushrooms. The food was great with the minor exception that the crust was a little bit scorched on the bottom. Reasonably priced and decent service. There was about a 15 minute gap between when we got our sandwich and when the pizza was brought out. I found that a little strange. I would totally eat here again.
The best pizza and salads on Hilton Head! The meatballs are amazing too! Service was top notch! We always go here on our trips to Hilton Head.
