Had the pleasure to make reservations and visit the lucky rooster and it was an absolute pleasure. This review is for our server OZ! Our server need a raise ASAP. He is the hidden treasure and need to be appreciated. He made this an uncomfortable experience. He not only remembered we were celebrating an anniversary per my RSVP note but also went above and beyond checking on us. Sitting outside in restaurants sometimes you feel a little bit abandoned from the rest of the dining experience but this was not the case. Oz started out with a great introduction and acknowledged that we were celebrating. He recommended some amazing items on the menu and explained any questions that we had. If he did not know he was honest about it and came right back with the details we needed. The first dish we tried was was the chicken liver. Hands down order this. It was spectacular. There was an apple garnish and apple jam that to my surprise was the perfect combination. I mean this thing was just unbelievable. We also shared oyster’s. They were fresh and good. We tried the stuffed salmon it was also good. The Banh mi sandwich with red snapper was also good. Chunk of fish inside this awesome Vietnamese sandwich was something I never thought would work well but it exceeded our expectations. Now for the most important part the cocktails! We had some sangria’s to battle the heat and it was just what we needed. Oz thank you so much for an understanding experience! Looking for a place to dine be sure to check them out and ask for OZ. They do accept reservations so skip the line.

Just left here after dinner. The place was not busy, but it was late and midweek. However, the place is lovely. Decor is fab, service is fantastic and the food is great. The calamari with the mustard olio was impressive, as was the shrimp and Scallops. Drinks are superb, margaritas are great, as was the pain in the pineapple. Defo worth a stop if you are in town.

Lucky Rooster is a hot spot for dinner on Hilton Head Island. They have great food and cocktails. The stuffed eggs, on both the brunch and dinner menus, are delicious. On the dinner menu, “Some Pig” is a great choice. It’s served with excellent collard greens. For brunch, I liked the burger, but it’s not quite a smash burger and would be better if cooked medium rare. Service at Lucky Rooster is always friendly. The dining room is sleek and modern. They also have outdoor seating. There’s a good reason why we keep coming back to Lucky Rooster whenever we go to HHI.

We had a great experience here! The food was amazing! Best crab cakes we have ever eaten. My husband got the trout and I got the steak and both were superb. Our waiter was very kind and attentive as well!

I had the shrimp & scallop dish. Wasn’t able to finish… had to take it in small bites because it was wayyy too salty. Paired with savory veggies, it was overpowering. Ambiance was nice. Service was attentive. Creative, non-alcoholic refreshments on the menu were appreciated :)

Nicole at the barn was killing it. She was the only bartender on a busy Sunday night and kept her cool and the drinks flowing! Food was good, all I got was peel and eating shrimp and the duck fat fries. Would go back to try more.

Absolutely blown away. We saved this restaurant for our last night on the Island and it was out of this world!! We had the stuffed eggs, surf and turf, and the pork chop and it was truly one of the best meals we’ve had like ever (and we are big foodies!!). 10/10 recommend coming here when you’re on the island. Did not disappoint one bit

Great experience! The food was good, atmosphere was amazing. The staff was very friendly and our waiter Owen was great. The drinks were amazing!!!! A couple of suggestions, bread would go great with the mussels and bouillabaisse. Also, mention the tuna puttanesca is olive based (ya, I probably should have known that). But it was great and we will definitely go back!!!!

Must go place! Today was our 1st time - Sunday Lunch. Unique choices all were excellent. Best steak & eggs I ever had. My wife’s Smoked Fish Platter was the best with some unusual selections. The staff was friendly and very quick.

My experience was 5/5 but my family gave lower ranks! I ordered the pork porterhouse, husband ordered lamb, mom ordered chicken, and my vegetarian dad ordered the primavera pasta. The pork porterhouse was marvelous along with the sweet potato and black beans! My father claimed the pasta was a bit on the unseasoned side and my mom felt the same way about the chicken (although one of the managers worked hard to make the dish more satisfactory for them). The overall atmosphere was very pleasant, very clean. The bread pudding and chocolate cake were 10/10. For a family of 5 we spent about $250. I would assume that's average amount spent for that size. I don't feel that it was worth that much but all in all it was a good experience. I don't think it would warrant another trip but it's great to try once.
