Even though I have driven past this place (regrets) many many times I’ve never stopped, after my 1st visits I will say I was stupid! This place rocks! I will go out of my way to get a sandwich or what ever, they have a working butcher shop also that has aged meat!! We had there venison chili and loved it! 2 people drinks and 2 cups chili 38$ not bad ! I’ll be back.
This was only my second visit, but I had to come back for one of their amazing venison burgers. I stopped into their shop and picked up some pepperoni sticks and beef jerky. I have to say that this is hands-down the best beef jerky I've ever eaten.
Come hungry. A full sandwich is huge, but you can get a half size on almost all menu items. My go to is the french dip, but I also go for the daily specials depending on what I am craving. The only bummer is they can run out of the special. Love the Friday special Philly cheese steak. Reubens are tasty also. The Wednesday special BBQ brisket sandwich is another stand out, the brisket is moist and melt in your mouth tender, however it could use a little more smoky flavor.
Vegans.... save yourself a trip, even the potato salad oinks, this cafe specializes in meat, after all it is attached to an equally great meat market.
If you are in a hurry, order ahead, especially during peak times, expect at least 15 minutes from the time you order and up to 30 minutes.

Awesome food, friendly and patient service. My uncle ordered the elk burger and he was in hamburger heaven, asking me if this was just a dream lol. The chili was excellent also. Lots of outdoor seating if the weather is good or if it gets busy as it does around lunchtime. For sure a place I'll be going back to especially with the butcher shop being across the parking lot.
What a treat! It was a cold rainy morning and a hot bowl of Elk Chili sounded perfect! Pro Tip: I ask for cheese and onions on mine :)

We went for lunch at the recommendation of a friend and it was excellent! Nice spot for grabbing a bite before heading to the butcher. We got a Reuben and a Turkey Bacon avocado sandwich, which had been recommended. Both were good, we liked the turkey best. Sandwiches were BIG, so it’s nice you can order them as a HALF. Which could also be a nice option to mix’n match sandwiches. We would go there anytime we are in the area 100%!
Nice staff. Good Covid-19 protocols. Food was delicious and arrived quickly. A customer that was waiting, there was some hiccup with his order and the manager gave him free meal coupons. That is awesome customer service.
These sandwiches are healthy and delicious. A half sandwich and side is plenty to feed an adult. The potato salad is chunky with olives and pickles and mustard seed. We have been coming here for years and I have never been disappointed. After you're done with lunch, stop by the Meating Place market right next door and get some mango habanero pepperoni sticks
