They're great over there. If you drive thru Highland Park you have to try it. If you live there you should be going there at least once a week. They never disappoint. I just had the best omelet of my life.
I wish they made their own jam, but they make their own hot sauce at least. They work well under pressure as well. I will always come here if I'm in the burbs

We stopped in for breakfast on the first day of our Lake Michigan circle tour trip. The food was amazing, but the service was above and beyond what I could have expected. My battery died and while we waited for our food our amazing server called a local car repair shop and they came to the restaurant got my vehicle and installed a new battery while we ate! She could have just as easily gave me the recommendation to the shop and kept moving right along with her busy day, but she took the time to go the extra step! I can’t explain how appreciative I am for this!

Darcy and family are A+. She's quick witted, always there with a smile, and their food is fresh and hot every time. From classic Americana breakfast and brunch options, it's guaranteed to be fast, fresh and tasty. Try the homemade salsa, it goes with everything!!!! The Garbage Skillet or Patty melt are my go to favorites. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

New menu for summer 2023. No neighborhood is complete without a place like Sandy’s. Go there twice and you’ll see recognize the regular. Go three times and you’ll be a regular yourself.
Classic diner fare done well. I’m partial to the waffle but my kids prefer the pancakes. Don’t sleep on the burgers or the house special, the Moron on a Bun.

My family and I have eaten here for decades. I personally hadn't been back in many years until recently. Im happy to report it's still cozy, still delicious, still operated in the family. If you need a classic Chicago diner, eat here.

This place is a warm hug. Great diner with probably the hardest working staff I have ever witnessed. We arrived about 9:45 on a Sunday morning and had a very short wait (of course I expected some sort of wait being Sunday brunch time and always busy anywhere!) and the staff was so insanely busy but still smiling and greeting. I wish I caught our server's name, but she was so attentive to everyone and also made some recommendations to us since we were visiting from out of town. The food was great - definitely get the French toast. Food came out fast. Has a hometown feel and you can tell this is a community spot. We will be back next time we are in the area! (Also they appear to be Packer fans 👌)
