I love hibachi. It is one of my favorite places to indulge and I always am excited for the big portions, knowing I’ll have leftovers to bring home. This was not the case. Chicken was mediocre at best and didn’t seem cooked enough to be tender. Very dry and/or frozen. Waiter didn’t seem to care when told about the food. Waiter also forgot our requests two times over. Even brought out the wrong soup for all of us. Sushi was good.
OMG the food was so good, I haven't been to a hibachi place in years, ever since they closed Banzai on quaker bridge rd. Our waiter & chef were awesome & very helpful. I've never been here before but I really liked this place, me & my bf definitely found our new hibachi place. 😋
Good food, good service, great sushi! We sat on the sushi restaurant side and it was much quieter however you could still hear a lot of the commotion over on the Hibachi side.

Ate here with a large family party recently, I believe that this was my second or third time visiting. They seem woefully understaffed at the moment. Great place for Hibachi went there for Father's Day and had a wonderful meal. The staff was very nice and came around and asked if there was anything that we needed many times. Would highly recommend Mahzu Japanese Restaurant for any special occasions or just for a regular meal.
