On our trip from NYC to Miami, we stopped in at the Hightstown Diner. We know such diners from movies. We come from Germany. From the first moment it was very authentic and exactly what we had imagined.
The service was very nice and the sweet potato fries and the Hightstown Burger were perfect.

This is a cozy and popular diner with good service. We sat in the lovely outdoor area under a tree. It was very pleasant. I had eggs with their famous hash. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable.

The Hightstown salad was crisp, flavorful, and chewy. The dressings worked together beautifully. By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit.

We came here for lunch, and enjoyed a burger, chicken melt and some guac and chips. We were sat quickly and our server was also helping us very quickly. The prices were reasonable, and the proportions were also good. The burger does not come with fries ($2.50 extra). When I ordered the burger the server confirmed I wanted fries with that despite not asking, which seemed deceiving. Luckily I already knew it was extra and declined. All the food tasted fresh and good. Towards the end of our meal we could not find our server so that we could pay our check and leave. We had all finished our meals for over 10 minutes.
