Proving Ground offers a great view and some great appetizers. Everyone I’ve been there, I always enjoyed myself. It’s got a laid back, seashore kind of vibe. During the summer there’s usually a wait and the outdoor bar dining area is jammed full of people and boats. It’s a fun time! The buffalo cauliflower app and the clams are always good.

Wonderful place to sit outside, enjoy the views. You can get there via boat as well. There was live music playing and people dancing. The food was good 😊. We had the Mediterranean sampler platter for an appetizer which was really delicious. I had to fish and my husband had the chicken for dinner.

Great food and seating is not on top of each other. Outdoor seating has heaters to accommodate the cold air from the water. First time here, and will be back.

Went for my first time to see a band that was recommended to me. But, wow. The views, the atmosphere, the variety of seating areas was just awesome! The band was outstanding which contributed to the great atmosphere. The wait staff and the bartenders were just stellar. They were attentive even with a large crowd.
I also had some of the best clams I've ever had. 😋
Great place to enjoy great food and relax. Can't wait to get back.

One of the nicer eateries in the area. Beautiful place with nice ambiance. Waterfront dining available weather permitting. Reservations recommended, especially on the weekends.
Crab dip is a great appetizer with plenty of crabmeat. The pasta dishes are outstanding as are the sandwiches. Decent draft selection, and nice cocktails.
Free parking. Live music. Dancing. Fun place, give it a try.

Gorgeous restaurant - right on the water. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos that had avocado, cabbage and other good toppings. We got a homemade blonde ala mode for dessert that was heavenly. They also have great tasting mocktails and fantastic service.

A very nice, upscale restaurant that offers nice seafood and views of the water. We docked our boat at their dock with the help of their dock master and walked right up to the tiki bar. Docking your boat here is free, but a nice tip is highly expected. Jet skis have to park on their small beach. As for their food and drinks, everything was good but their oysters were phenomenal and fresh. Our server, Sara, was friendly, fast and polite. This place has three main areas: outdoor (which is on the water), first floor indoor and second floor indoor. I would dine here, again.

Proving Ground is my absolute favourite restaurant to visit with my family. Not only is the food spectacular… but the view is also gorgeous. On a hot summer day they have beautiful outdoor dining as well as a waiting/sitting area to hang out and play corn hole or connect 4. My absolute favourite dish is their lobster bisque. It’s like nothing i’ve had before… it’s amazing. It does have a little kick to it but it’s delicious. Their service is also great and they’ve never messed up anything that i’ve ordered. Proving Ground also has a large boat dock… so just pull up your boat and walk in! I’ve never had a bad experience and it’s very family-friendly so you should definitely try it!

Service was excellent.Tried a lemonade cocktail which was different. Buttermilk chicken sandwich had a kick but good.Loved the crab cake sandwich! Not too much filler to hide the flavor. Rolls were fresh.

Stopped at this restaurant after an event. Overall ambience is nice. Food tasted pretty good. I had a bacon cheddar burger which was perfectly cooked, my girlfriend had the lobster rolls which was her first time trying it and absolutely love it. Plenty of beer choices as well
