Food and service is absolutely wonderful. Honestly the best fish and chips I've ever had and the layered chocolate cake is absolutely worth the cost. There's something new to try each visit. The atmosphere was so comfortable and I'm already calling this place my favorite restaurant.

Great experience everytime I've been here. I've been here in the evenings and during lunch and never had a bad experience.
Good variety of good. Great service and good selection of drinks.
Wait staff was friendly and attentive and we didnt have to wait long for our food.

I can’t say enough great things about the management and the service. We had a large group of girls at a basketball tournament in Hickory this weekend. We called to see if they could accommodate us and they said yes. We got there 10 mins later. Table was ready for us. And even though they were short staffed, the manager himself waited on and served our table. And made a group of 10 year old basketball girls (that were also celebrating one of their own birthday) and their parents very happy and thankful. The food was delicious. The service was great. And the management made all the difference. Thank you for welcoming us in your restaurant. Thank u for leading by example. Thank you for just being great and I highly recommend!

Updated Review: Regional Manager reached out and was gracious of the feedback and made it right. The second order tasted as good as the first but was more appropriate from a value perspective. The Hickory location manager was also super gracious and customer service focused.
Food was pretty good. Service was quick (I Ordered takeout). Ordered chicken tenders and fries for around 16 bucks. Taste was good. My issue was the size. For that price, I got 4.5 small tenders...like really small. Smaller than chick-fil-a tenders or similar. The .5 above was for one of those tenders being the size of a small thumb. So while the flavor was good the value was not.

New manager and staff! We have been coming to HT for years and have seen the service and quality of product decline to the point where we almost stopped coming. We decided to give it a shot this weekend and had a great experience. Caroline took great care of us and Trent (manager) seems to have really turned things around. Very happy to see it!

My wife and I went there for dinner on 3/21/2022. We arrived and was seated at 5:45 and ordered as soon as they brought the drinks. She had shrimp tacos and I ordered the ribeye steak with fries and a salad. At 6:30 our waitress came to the table and said they had messed up our order and that the manager would be by. I was prepared to leave but my wife said wait to see what the manager had to say.The manager came by and said the cook had burnt one side of my steak and they were gonna prepare another one. At 7:00 they finally brought my steak which I had ordered med. It was med rare at best with a salad the had fruit in it which I had ordered a regular salad. I ate the steak even though it was under cooked for my liking. They brought the check and only charged me for the shrimp tacos…. Why would they charge when we had waited over a hour for any food. I kept saying to my wife “ I wonder where my salad is” Totally uncalled for so my advise is be careful where you chose to eat especially the tavern until they can get things worked out there

The Cuban sandwich, although not a "true " Cuban, was ok. Not a panini type, which is the norm, but the bread was good. The shredded pork was much too salty for me, but may not be for others.
The small Tavern salad, after a day in the fridge, was amazingly fresh. Lots of veggies, bacon, eggs & almonds. Do not waste your money with salads from the fast food guys. When ordered with most other items, this salad is very reasonable & totally worth the cost.
I picked up, curbside & it was fast, efficient & the young lady was very courteous.
