Our first time to experience the cuisine in this restaurant. We were NOT disappointed!! I had the seared Ahi tuna, and it was exceptional. My wife had a salad and a bread bowl of soup, which was also well prepared and delicious!! I had heard good reviews and was more than pleased with the quality of the food, coupled with the quantity of each dish. This is an establishment that needs to be on your "must eat at" list......you will be glad you dined here!!!
Food was excellent even if I've never seen a Cuban sandwich with banana peppers. Lol! We took the whole family for lunch and we had a couple special orders. The kitchen handled the requests well to our pleasure! The wait staff was attentive and friendly. We will come back!
We have been going to Backstreets for over 20 years. With great wraps, burgers, salads, and specialty pizzas, the food is always delicious. You’ll find a Fun, relaxed environment with a great staff. It can be difficult getting a table during peak times (esp if you have a large party) and they don’t take reservations so call ahead to check the wait if time is an issue.
Loved the atmosphere. It was a little crowded, but we were seated pretty fast. The service was amazing and their menu selection was good. Offered more choices than a lot of restaurants do during this time. Food was delicious and plentiful. I definitely plan on a return visit.
Good service, decent prices and portion sizes. The tuna sandwich (cooked to medium well) had an excellent flavor, and the soup was ok, as it was served lukewarm, as well as the fries.
Coming from someone who has moved around a ton and has eaten food from every coast of the country, this place was surprisingly good! Frankly, finding great food in Hickory is challenging so discovering this place was a gem! Their standard of food reminds me a lot of all the great food in the West Coast. Price was right too and the portion, my goodness, was more than enough! They do smother their food with lots of cheese (most people wouldn’t complain) but I like balance in my food so I would have liked less cheese over everything. Service was exceptional and although our server kept forgetting a few things, the food made up for it. Will be coming back here more often!
Hosts and servers were very nice and welcoming. The food was delicious. Had a great time.
Ordered 2 chicken salad surprises but they were served very cold, this is not the norm. They are awesome warm. Not sure what the deal was.
