Loved this hole in the wall sandwich shop... one small easy complaint... as good as their food is (amazing actually!), I wish they had more space or a few shops around because it was crowded around lunch. However that was expected from the reviews & research. We want one on Charlotte because it was THAT memorable! My husband loved the pork belly and I loved the gluten free options and amazing spreads and more!! �
Yesterday had the Rachel and hubby had the BLT. Cannot praise both enough! The Rachel was a delight, especially with the collard and pine nut slaw, and the heritage bacon BLT was proclaimed one of the best he ever had!! Great place.
We came up to the Farmer’s Market in Hickory on Saturday & my husband began googling a spot to eat.
We found Hatch by chance.
I had the pulled pork (they put the sauce on the side) and I also chose Mac & cheese and cauliflower for my sides. Perfect!
My husband had a gooey, broccoli & cheese sandwich.
Great service with a smile from the lady up at the register.
Oh and if you are looking for a drink to go with your eats…they have a big selection. (Look at my photos)
Please note:
Not a traditional restaurant with tables and chairs….the indoor seating is almost bar-like, you can dine seated facing window, facing out. But works for me!
My husband wanted to eat outside.
Glad we were able to find a table in their sidewalk patio. They have umbrellas etc set up to shelter from the sun.

Popped in here for a quick bite to eat while passing through town. Quick & friendly service, delicious food made with fresh ingredients. They had a queue out the door at one point however it didn't seem like anyone was waiting longer than about 5 minutes to be served. Well worth a visit!
I’ve been hearing a lot about this sandwich bar so I decided to try it. Customer service was great and the sandwiches were deliciously flavorful but nothing different from any other sandwich places I’ve tried. It’s a bit pricey and if you go on a busy day just be prepared to either be awkwardly crowded inside or to step outside to wait on your food. I still enjoyed it and recommend to anyone who loves sandwiches!
Awesome selection of sandwiches. Yes I just said that, ingredients are incredible. Beer selection to compliment the sandwich collection is a definite bonus. I will make this restaurant a must stop at in the future. Staff extremely friendly.
Great place for sandwiches (they have hot sandwiches and beer!). Probably a little on the pricey side, but really good food and it should fill you up. They have excellent daily specials, don't think I've ever had a menu item.
Hatch has such delicious, creative sandwiches. They have frequent new sandwich specials and beer deals. I have yet to be disappointed in a sandwich here. So far the pulled pork banh mi and the reuben are my favorites. Always satisfying when I want a good sandwich. I haven't tried any of their Friday night dinner options, but they look great as well.
The food is amazing visit here for the first time today. I got the blt on sourdough, pulled pork grilled cheese and blu cheese burger all the ingredients on the sandwiches and burgers compliment each other very nice owner and employee as well. did I mention they have cream soda and they support local business.
Wanted to reconnect with an old friend, and he suggested Hatch. Not sure what my expectations were, however I know they exceeded them! The charm of the building, the selection of beverages, the mouth-watering menu - all on point. My friend said he's yet to get anything there that he didn't like. I got this incredible Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese sandwich. (I'll give you a minute to wipe off your chin just thinking about it.) Thank goodness I love my mother and would never hurt her, because this was seriously a "Slap Yo Mama" delicious meal! Highly recommend.
